MY THOUGHTS:
Even though I have two kids and obviously have a stroller (actually multiple strollers), I really like The First Years Ignite Stroller. It really is a lightweight stroller and it folds up quick and easily (one-handed.) This is going to be a great addition for our family when the new baby comes since my other two boys are 2 and 4 years old and still need a stroller every now and then. As much as my 4 year old wants to be independent, he also feels safer in the stroller in crowded places and does like to fall asleep in the stroller.
The Ignite Stroller is for kids up to 50 lbs. and has a five-point harness to keep kids safe. The stroller height is perfect and neither my husband nor I had problems pushing it around, since this stroller is a little taller. I have seen people hunching over strollers before, but with this stroller at least it has taller handles so it shouldn’t be a problem.
On the top of the stroller is a very nice parent caddy with a cup holder and zippered pouch. It is a good size and perfect for a phone, wallet and something else smaller. There is a storage basket underneath but it would probably only fit a small-medium diaper bag, and because of the design it is not the easiest to go in and out of. It is nice though that it has a basket since it is a smaller lightweight stroller and some other strollers that are similar size don’t even have a basket.
I would classify this stroller as a fancy umbrella stroller. Because of its lightweight and compact design, it fits as an umbrella stroller but then there is the storage basket, parent caddy, nice big adjustable umbrella shade, and five-point harness. It is also a durable stroller that goes up to 50lbs.
I pushed both my 2 and 4-year-old sons around in the stroller both weigh between 30-40 lbs. I had no problem pushing them or maneuvering the stroller. The wheels glided nicely around, although because of the cold weather here I haven’t been outside yet with the stroller. Overall, this is a great stroller to push around a child in and will definitely last and grow with the child. It is also great if you don’t want a big clunky stroller but don’t want a cheap flimsy umbrella stroller either.
