    A few weeks ago I got the chance to attend a “Cocktails and a Fitting” event.  The event’s purpose was to get fitted by a Wacoal Fit Expert and view their Spring intimate apparel and shapewear styles.  Wacoal is the leading intimate apparel brand.

    The Eight Bras Every Woman Needs

    1. One seamed bra
    2. One seamless, unlined bra
    3. One contour bra
    4. One strapless bra
    5. One T-Back or racerback bra
    6. A push-up or minimizing bra (depending on your figure type)
    7. One sport bra
    8. One drop dead sexy bra

    Bra Facts

    • 8 out of 10 women wear the wrong sized bra
    • A woman should be fitted once a year
    • If you gain 5 – 7 lbs, your bra size will change
    • It only takes 15 minutes to be fitted for a bra
    • Most women wear their bras 1 – 1 ½ inches too big in the band and 1 cup size too small
    • Every women should own 8 different bra styles in her wardrobe
    • Her favorite bra should be in at least 2 different colors and she should have 3 bras in her favorite style and color
    • The average woman has 27 bras in her lingerie draw and wears the same 2 bras repeatedly
    • A woman needs 3 of her favorite bra, one should be worn, one in the wash and one in the drawe
    • A bra should be worn once and then washed to extend her life
    • After washing and wearing a bra 100 times she needs to be replaced

    Liz Smith is the National Spokesperson for Wacoal America and as “The Bra Lady” she trains consultants to fit women in the right bra for their body.

    I also got the chance to see their new shapewear that works with women’s bodies to eliminate cellulite for a smooth, sleek lower body.  The iPant works with your body to visually reduce the appearance of cellulite from your waist, hips and thighs as you move.  Wacoal is actually the first in America to utilize Novarel Slim technology, which will help redefine your body in 28 days with lasting results!  The iPant is a made of a nylon microfiber material, which contains caffeine to increase blood flow and also has fat burning properties.  Novarel Slim also includes Retinol, Ceramides, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera as ingredients.  The technology is hypoallergenic and effective up to 100 washes.  I didn’t get to try it out since I am pregnant but I did feel the material and see the pants and they looked comfortable and breathable.  I am actually looking forward to trying them out after I have my baby, since I will need all the help I can get then!

    Overall, it was a great evening.  I got fitted for a bra and realized I was wearing a bra that was way to small.  When I tried on the correct size and style for my shape, I could not believe the difference.  I didn’t have any pain from straps digging into my shoulders or back pain from the bra being too tight, it fit so good I almost forgot I was wearing one – accept for the fact of course that my boobs actually looked perkier and more supported!  I will say too that I have purchased a Wacoal bra in the past and they are a little more expensive but they last and fit great.  The bras also come in tons of great colors and sizes as does the Wacoal shapewear!

      My favorite if Floral Embroidery, but all my bras are Wacoal. I won’t buy any other brand. No one else could possibly fit a 32D 56-year-old woman the size of your average 13-year old and make me look so good.

      I love Wacoal. I found them a few years ago, just after I stopped nursing. My size had drasticly altered from pre-baby. I found that wacoal offers the prettiest styles with the best lift and comfort. I cant say which is my fav, I have lots that I like 🙂

      I like the looks of the Awareness underwire. The wider strap appeal to me.
      A few years ago I bought two Wacoal bras and I loved them. But they are hard to find out here in the hicks. Glad to know you can buy them online.
      Seriously though, the average woman owns 27 bras? Wow, I am way below average.

      I would choose the iPant Hi-Waist Long Leg Shaper
      that sounds nice.. I first seen and loved the Try a Little Slenderness Shape Camisole, my daughter has one something like it and she loves it.. but after reading about the ipant, it’s sounds like a dream come true!
