    Windex Turns 75! Review (& Giveaway Ends 11/9)

    Windex has been a household staple for more than 75 years now and it has established itself as America’s No. 1 Glass Cleaner.  It is the go-to cleaning solution trusted by generations for its streak-free shine.  Windex was actually recently declared as an “American ideal” in Fortune Magazines’s 2011 “100 Greatest Things about America” article.  It has stood the test of time, adapted to changing family needs and lifestyles and innovated through the years making it an established, iconic American brand.

    To celebrate its 75th birthday, Windex® is looking back through history and inviting families to share their tried and true traditions and shining moments on the brand’s Facebook page.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I cannot believe Windex has been around for over 75 years!  I actually can’t think of another product that has stood the test of time like that, especially one that that I use regularly.  My mom used Windex, my grandmas used it and now I do.  I actually cannot name another glass cleaner (other than store brand) than Windex and even if I happen to have the store brand on hand, I still refer to it as Windex (although I admit the store brand doesn’t work as well as Windex.)

    Windex is a brand I trust and always does the job for me.  I love how they have gone with the flow of the times and created comparable products like their Multi-Surface Vinegar cleaner and Electronic Wipes.  I actually got sent all three products (Original, Multi-Surface Vinegar and Electronic Wipes) to check out and love them all!

    Now the Original version I am of course quite familiar with.  I actually have a few bottles around my house so they are always handy – my boys call it the blue spray.  I actually hadn’t tried the Multi-Surface before, not sure why, but it really is awesome!  It can be used on so many household surfaces that Original Windex can’t:  Sealed Granite & Marble Surfaces, Stainless Steel Ceramics, Glass & Mirrors, Factory tinted auto windows and more!  I actually think I might buy this version from now on since I can use it on my mirrors and glass as well as the rest of the house.  I love Multi-Surface cleaners, especially as a busy mom of three!

    The Windex Electronics Wipes are another new favorite product of mine as they are so convenient and effective!  I had yet to find a good cleaner for my laptop screen and with little fingers who constantly touch it, it needed a good cleaning.  The wipes are big enough that I was able to clean a few things (Tv, computer, cellphone, laptop) with one sheet and they left no residue or streaks behind!  The package seals closed easily and comes with 25 per-moistened anti-static wipes.

      I’d clean my living room picture window. I have a dog who loves to sit and look out the window. Yes, he gets footprints all over it.

      I would clean my front door glass to remove the toddler finger and nose prints on the inside and the critter footprints and noseprints on the outside.

      Clean first????? I think I’d had all the kids grab a cleaning cloth, spray Windex on it and on the count of one…two…three..go…see whowould be the FIRST to get something cleaned in this house and then have to determine what it was.

      The surface I would clean first is my computer screen. It seems to attract dust and fingerprints. I am always afraid when I clean it and now will have a product meant just for that job.

      I would clean my laptop with the wipes b/c my daughter conveniently likes to sneeze on the screen and my desk!
