    MY THOUGHTS:

    My boys (4 and 5 years old) don’t really like ordinary coloring books, but they love activity books.  They like puzzles, stickers, and drawing.  I am always looking for fun books for them, especially in the summer when they need some creative motivation! Silver Dolphin has just come out with some new activity titles that I knew would be a hit with my boys, especially the two below:

    Creativity Fun: Garden

    “Creativity Fun: Garden” is a 72 page book full of all sorts of activities to “draw, doodle, color and create an amazing world.”  The book is full of activities that go behind just a traditional coloring book.  There are pages you color but there are also questions prompting you to do something like drawing the right scales or stripes on the right animals,  write your name using a certain patterns, draw the vegetables in the garden, draw faces, draw leaves on the tree branches, and so much more!  It is a book that could really entertain a child for hours!

    The Big Book of Animal Stickers

    The Big Book of Animal Stickers is the perfect tool for teaching kids about basic concepts with fun games and hundreds of stickers. Kids will learn their colors as they match pigs, lions, and frogs to pink, orange, and green circles. They’ll learn the sounds that cats, cows, and other animals make as they choose the correct stickers for each one. They’ll learn how to count as they help bunnies keep track of their Easter eggs. And with word searches, pattern games, mazes, and other enjoyable activities, they’ll have hours of hands-on fun!  ($12.95)  112 pages (0-3 years old)

    What kid doesn’t love stickers, especially preschool-aged children.  My 4-year old had a blast with this book.  It is cute because its more than just sticking stickers randomly on paper, but rather you complete questions such as Match the animals to each close-up clue, complete the pattern in each row, complete the scene, put animal stamps on the correct letter, put the bow-tie stickers on the matching animals and more!  It is actually such a fun book, I’d love to do it myself!  This is another activity book perfect to spark creativity and keep your children’s minds sharp in a fun way!  The pages and stickers are bright and fun-colored that its hard not to smile when looking through this book!

    From puzzles to pop-up books to activity books to traditional books, Silver Dolphin also amazes me.  Last year I reviewed their amazing Peter Pan pop-up book and my boys still want it read to them almost every night!
