    Amongst the many roles I play as a mom, one day one of the most important roles will be that of the Tooth Fairy. I remember being so excited as a kid that the Tooth Fairy was going to come and leave me a money. Now I usually only got a few coins but back then that bought me a lot of candy! I think the Tooth Fairy made losing my teeth less scary but then I was scared too of this fairy thing coming in my room in the middle of the night taking my tooth out from under my pillow.

    Well to make my role as Tooth Fairy go a little smoother for both child and parent, Tuthillo (think of “tooth-pillow”) has created an adorable and must have product. Tuthillo created a Lost Tooth Companion called the “Tugo” to overcome children’s fears and make it easier for a parent to perform their tooth fairy duties. It is a soft and cuddly handmade friend that comes in two different designs and four different colors. There are two easy to access pockets built into its mouth, one for your child’s tooth and the other for money. This way you are not digging under the pillow for your child’s tooth and no cash is lost. Tuthillo companions are also great for trips to the dentist!

    I received two from Tuthillo to check out and I absolutely love this product! Is it wrong that I am so excited about Aidan loosing his first tooth so we can test this baby out. Right now he loves it because it has a funny mouth and it is so soft that he cuddles with it. The full body Tugo is 10.5 x 14 inches and the Large Head is 17 x 12 inches, so it is like a giant pillow! Tuthillo also sells some cute onesies and t-shirts. Aidan decided he wanted the lime full body Tugo so guess what…..I am going to give the purple one away!

      My best tooth fairy moment was when my daughter came into my bedroom the next morning and told my husband that he forgot to leave her the money for her tooth. My husband or I couldn’t do nothing but laugh!!

      Best tooth fairy moment: I got my front teeth knocked out when I stepped on the bottom of the rake and the handle came up to smack my mouth. The tooth fairy paid extra for those teeth. We always put our teeth in a glass full of water and the tooth fairy came an replaced them with quarters.

      My fave moment was when my daughter lost her first tooth. It was nothing extraordinary – just the tradition being passed on to a new generation, and the sheer look of excitement on her little face – not greed for the money the tooth fairy left, but wonderment that he existed to her.

      I have a sad Tooth Fairy moment. My mom was sick, and I’d lost my tooth, my Navy dad was out at sea, and my mom called me in and she was crying, and she said she had to tell me that there wasn’t a Tooth Fairy, because she was just too sick. Then I started crying, because I knew there wasn’t a Tooth Fairy, but I never said anything because I thought my mom enjoyed it!

      My daughter recently lost her second tooth. We, again, but the tooth in a baggy (since we didn’t have one of these!), and put it under her pillow. But I guess I haven’t had enough practice at this tooth fairy thing because I didn’t think to put the baggy on the edge of the pillow. Instead I put it in the middle. Well when it came to the switch, I couldn’t get the baggy out without waking my daughter. I ended up sitting on the floor by her bed for probably two hours waiting for her to turn over a little so I could get a hold of it. I almost gave up!!

      I think I’d go with the full body style. It’s much more cuddly for bedtime. And I’d have to go with green because I have a boy and a girl so I like a neutral color. Thanks!

      Mine was one where the TF forgot to come and give m angel her money and take her tooth. Luckily for me our Lab was sleeping on her bed that night and she woke up and said that “Mary” our dog had scared the TF away! We made sure that her room was dog free the following evening so the TF could come do her thing!

      The Tügo Full Body Aqua is my favorite.

      Here is a tooth fairy moment. The tooth fairy must have overslept and my poor son was so upset that the tooth fairy had passed him by. So we just knew this had to have been an honest mistake, and guess what the tooth fairy had been there, she was just sneaky and left the money under the bed, and forgot the tooth lol.

      My son is 9 and I still tell him there is a tooth fairy. He recently lost his first molar and we were so broke that we didn’t even have any change to give him. So the first night we told him she must have been too busy. The second night my husbands friends just happened to come over so I asked to borrow some change. They had around $2 and half a package of Trident white. In the morning he found the gum and said “I guess you only need HALF a package to whiten your teeth”

      I remember as a kid, my parents wouldn’t let us put the tooth under our pillow, likely because of the fear of losing it, waking us, losing the money, etc. Instead, we had to put our tooth in a glass of water on the kitchen counter and then in the morning, the tooth would be gone but there would be coins in its place.

      Haha, I laughed my butt off at the first comment on the page because I have totally done the same thing!! I fell asleep and my daughter was upset that the tf didn’t come. So I snuck the money under there when she went to the bathroom. LOL. That’s so funny! Another of my favorite tf moments was when I accidentally left a ten instead of a one dollar bill and my daughter was ecstatic that her tooth was worth so much. I guess her other teeth weren’t as cool because the tooth fairy only paid a dollar for them.

      I don’t have a specific moment but I remember that I had a little pink plaid pillow that had lace trim with a little pocket on it and that’s what I would put under my pillow when I lost a tooth.

      My best toothfairy moment happened this past week. My son had a loose tooth and I checked it nearly daily waiting till I could pull it out easily. Well, one morning when he awoke, I checked it and it was gone. Since he had been sleeping on the sofa, we decided to check under the cusions to see if it had fallen out while he slept. No tooth was ever found, but under the cusions was two quarters (that had likely fallen out of my husbands pants sometime prior). What a lucky break for me. I told my son that the tooth fairy must have needed his tooth sooner so she pulled it out herself and left the money for him. He was thrilled.

      My favorite is the time my daughter lost her tooth and I went into her room late at night to put the dollar under her pillow. When she woke up in the morning screaming of excitement I was so happy for her-until she showed me how much money the tooth fairy left her. I grabbed a $20.00 bill instead of the dollar.

      Best tooth fairy moment: My son lost his first tooth in September 08. He was asking what would the tooth fairy leave him if he left his tooth under the pillow. His Pawpaw told him that maybe the tooth fairy would leave him a new tooth to replace the one that fell out and when he woke the next morning he got the $1 that the tooth fairy left and asked “Is this enough to buy a new tooth with?”

      Well, my favorite TF moment shouldn’t be my favorite but it is because it is the most memorable. I FORGOT to play TF because I was so tired and fell asleep early. My hubby forgot too, so when my kiddo woke up and saw that TF didn’t come she was crushed. I hurried up and stuck a dollar bill under her pillow when she was eating breakfast and then told her she better check again. When she checked it was there and she couldn’t believe she missed it. I played it off like it was there the whole time while my husband and I had a chuckle about it. We won’t soon forget to play TF and it’s a good thing because she just started loosing teeth – we have a while to go.
