MY THOUGHTS:
When I first heard about this book, I thought it sounded adorable but was skeptical if my boys would like it. Well they don’t like it, they love it! It first of all has wonderful illustrations that make the book pop and fun to look at. Next, the story line is not at all cheesy but such a great story and very easy for kids. It is informative, including what happens step by step at the dentist office to just how teeth grow and change every day. I think this book is especially useful to help kids prepare for their first dentist visit and to just get them more interested in their oral care.
The book is longer than I expected, which is not at all a bad thing, and I really do applaud the author for stressing the important of taking care of your teeth and how it is natural to loose teeth. I admit I haven’t taken Aidan to the dentist yet, but I believe this is a good way to teach him and prepare him. It also teaches about how green teeth is no fun! This book would also be great for any dentists or hygienists in your life! Overall, I would definitely recommend this book for any child, this is also the first book I have seen on teeth for kids and they really are important!
