MY THOUGHTS:
As my boys have grown, my diaper bags has shrunk. I used to carry a huge bag with way too much stuff that I didn’t need, as since I have learned. Now I carry about 4 diapers, a small pack of wet wipes, 2 sippy cups, and some toys. I also keep a small bag in my car with extra clothes, diapers, and more. Since I don’t have time to change bags and I like my diaper bag to also be my purse, I love the Madison Avenue Bag from Amy Michelle.
The Madison Avenue Bag is a black longer tote bag, that is both perfect for when I am with or without the kids. Since my boys are toddlers now, I love it because I have more room for my stuff and honestly I can fit my laptop in it with no problem so it has grown more to be my latpop bag than a typical diaper bag! The inside is cushioned so my laptop has some cushion, especially next to diapers and wipes! The bag is unlike any diaper bag I have owned as it goes from wearing it on your shoulder (messenger bag style) to easily changing to wear it as a backpack.
There are tons of pockets both inside and out and the top zips shut so nothing falls out (I have had that happen too many times!) My absolute favorite feature though is the changing pad. It has a zipper compartment where you can put dirty/wet bags right inside! My boys were notorious for needing outfit changes, and I love that I have somewhere convenient to put them! Oh and the bright lime green lining inside, makes it super easy to find contents inside that would otherwise blend in if the background was a dark color.
Now I will say if you were using this bag for a newborn, it may be tough if you are an over packer like I was, but it does fit quite a few items inside – they bag is just more vertical than horizontal. If you are looking for a bag for a child over the age of 1, then I think this bag is absolutely perfect! It is definitely a bag to use way past needed a diaper bag in general. I will say I will be using it as a work/laptop bag for many years to come!
