    My boys have a lot of downtime and while I’d love them to work on workbook pages or practice their writing, they’d prefer to play on electronics.  So when I saw the ABC & 123 Electronic Flash Card toy from Learning Resources, I was curious whether or not they’d play with it.

    Opening up the ABC & 123 Electronic Flash Card was easy enough, no scissors required!  Next you do have to add 3 AAA batteries before you can play but then you are all set to go.  So I added the batteries and left this little electronic toy on our couch, no sooner than a few minutes later my 6 year old picked it up and was playing it.  Now there is no way he would have sat there with me and done flash cards, but give him an electronic toy and he is all set.  He actually played with this for a lot longer than I expected!  Then my 4 year old wanted a turn and he actually really needs the practice so I was thrilled he took to it right away.
    The ABC & 123 Electronic Flash Card has four fun games on it:
    • Match upper and lower case letters
    • Find the Missing Letter!
    • Count the dots!
    • Find the missing number!

    Each game is quick but challenging for kids.  You get a minute to answer the short questions and it goes to the next question right away.  The questions make your child think and make quick decisions.  If you get it wrong, it beeps and if your child is right it goes to the next question.  While we do have other handheld electronic devices this toy is nice because its simple and easy to pick up and play anytime.  There are no apps, videos, or any distractions, just these four fun games.  I would recommend this for any parent looking for a fun but educational toy for their kids that their kids will want to use!

      I think any 3rd Grader would like to have the Multiplication Master Electronic Flash Card to make math a little more interesting. I would give it to one of my grand children as a birthday gift. thank you
