Starting April 6th, a new interactive exhibit will be featured at Brookfield Zoo called “Dinosaurs Alive!” Newly discovered feathered dinosaurs along with dinosaur favorites line the walkway and inside exhibit. A total of 24 dinosaurs can be seen including a Shantungosaurus at more than 20 feet tall and 50 feet long, the largest dinosaur to walk on two legs.
The inside exhibit is called the “Feather and Fossils” tent which has real artifacts on display to touch and see. The tented showcase will also highlight recent paleontological findings, including scientific discoveries that shows how birds evolved from dinosaurs. Visitors can also learn how dinosaurs are relevant to today’s world and how changes in climate may have led to their extinction.
My kids (6, 4, and 19 months) all had a blast throughout Dinosaurs Alive! From the moving and noise-making animatronic dinosaurs along the outside walkway that leads to the “Feather and Fossils” tent, the whole new exhibit is great for all ages. My kids were amazed by the size of all the dinosaurs and my husband and I loved reading all the facts inside. My little one loved the fossil dig table the best and thought it was so cool that she could play with the zoo exhibit!
