    I admit it, one of my best friends is Betty Crocker. She is always there when I am hungry, need comforting, and when I just want to have fun! Now Betty Crocker has set up a great website that has everything and anything, called The Mixer.

    The Mixer is set up to teach the ins and outs of cooking and baking, while learning from the Betty Crocker Kitchens experts LIVE during classes and connecting with others! It is FREE and ready whenever you are, whenever your schedule allows. Each week for six weeks, The Mixer will feature a new class line up complete with recipe demos, tips & techniques, flavor secrets and much more!

    * Week #1 – Kickin’ Chicken Recipes and tips for making juicy, mouthwatering
    chicken
    * Week #2 – Pastabilities Secrets of building flavor that will allow you to create your
    own signature sauces
    * Week #3 – Greens with Envy Recipes for go-to salads
    * Week #4 – Viva Tortilla Taking taco night to a whole new level
    * Week #5 – Wok it Out Stir-fry techniques and recipes for easy
    flavorful sauces
    * Week #6 – Small Bites-Big Flavors Dips and appetizers that are easy and flavorful
    and guiltess desserts

    Classes are held three times a week. Chat live with the Betty Crocker Kitchens Experts:

    * Tuesdays 7 p.m. ET
    * Wednesdays 9 p.m. ET
    * Saturdays 4 p.m. ET

    If you miss a class, don’t worry as you can watch the classes on demand and get in on the conversations. I love that it is interactive, educational, and fun! I am so excited to get cooking and hopefully I can keep it up!

      I couldn’t live without my KitchenAid mixer! Before I bought it I wasn’t sure how much I would use it, but now that I’ve had it for awhile I don’t know what I would do without it! Thanks for the giveaway!

      I cannot live without my hand grater. I use garlic in everything and I don’t like big chunks in it, so I grate it into the pan and it makes it so easy and tastes fab.

      My favorite item I would call it my favorite gadget is, my big slotted spoons. They are metal with a high temp plastic coating.
      I wanted to buy more and can not find the type I have as the newer ones are flimsy and not a very good quality. I use them a few times a day.

      My cutting board! Oh, I KNOW it sounds silly, but think about it. You can hardly make ANYthing without using a cutting board. I love the set of knives we have as well though!

      I cannot live without my cookie cutters. I use them for more than just cookies. The kids like pancakes in shapes too.
      I have more than 100 cutters and I enjoy using them.

      Does my espresso machine count as a gadget??? I must have my Starbucks mocha in the morning and since we live 85 miles from the nearest Starbucks I must have my espresso maker!! Otherwise, I guess I’d have to say my Pampered Chef rubber spatulas 🙂

      I couldn’t live w/o my blender! I bought it for myself for my birthday two years ago and its the greatest blender I’ve ever owned!       I think I can no longer live with out my pastry cuttery thingy-mahooey… um, okay, what’s it called? The thing with the handle and then a bunch of thin metal pieces to help cut butter into baking for pastry and such. Anyways, I now use it to mash bananas for baking, mashing potatos is pretty good too. Basically anything you could use a fork to break up or mash, it does a better job 😉

      I have a gadget that is a cross between a pizza cutter and a pastry cutter. I use it all the time to cut produce, sandwiches, practically everything, and then I can scoop the food up into it! Best thing ever!

      I am crazy about my knives! I know people who have steak knives to cut their veggies with…hello!?!? I can’t live without (or rather, cook without) my knives, cutting board, and cast iron pans!

      What a difficult question. I love so many of my kitchen gadgets. I’m going to say my whisk. Because I can use something else in lieu of a spatula or turner, but a whisk is rather unique. But please don’t come and take my other stuff! I really like my ice cream scoop, too!

      A mixing bowl, silicone spatula, silicone mat, whisk, spoon, sharp knife, those aren’t really exciting though, so if I go gadgety I’d say my apple slicer/corer. Nothing beats a 5 second snack maker! Thanks!
