Disclosure: #spon: I’m required to disclose a relationship between our site and Oral-B. Oral-B may have provided us with content, product, access or other forms of payment. All opinions are my own.
My mom and dad got divorced when I was around 1 years old. Soon after my mom re-kindled her relationship with my now step-dad and they were married. They had four more kids and honestly not a day has gone by that my step-dad has ever treated me like I wasn’t his own. If anything he probably went above and beyond for me to make me feel special. I recently found a pair of earrings that I remember him buying me when him and my mom were at a craft fair. My mom said he insisted on buying them and honestly even though they are not at all my style, I’ve kept them.
For my wedding I ended up having him walk me down the aisle and I am so fortunate to have had him be able to give me away. I think of how awful some step-parents can be and I lucked out. Even though he is not a dad that says his feelings, I know he cares.
Want to get dad something he wouldn’t think to buy for himself but would probably love to receive as a gift? The The Oral-B Deep Sweep has a unique combination of sweeping and stationary bristles that removes up to 100% more plaque vs. a regular manual toothbrush, helping to prevent and reverse gingivitis!

Karen Propes says
I had a 5 yr old daughter when we got married. I was hoping that we could all get along. I was amazing to see two people bond. Sometimes I think she’s his; she acts just like him. But after surgery in 1997, I died and was resituated and put in ICU. He was so strong and he made sure our Beca was safe and tried to soothe her fears. When I did wake up 6 days later, I heard the whole story, Beca said I don’t know what I would do without my Daddy (meaning her step-father) That’s the day I realized that no matter what happens, he would be there for her and anything she needed. He was her Dad. God has blessed our family in so many ways. Thanks be to God.
