Disclosure: I received this car for one week to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
I love SUV’s but honestly KIA is brand that usually doesn’t scream luxury to me. Well the 2014 KIA Sorento SX AWD changed my mind! I drove it around for a week with my husband and three kid in the back, yes three kids, and it was an amazing ride. First off I should add that the model I received was loaded with options and each KIA contains different ones.
Just some of the KIA Sorento features I loved:
- Navigation System with 8″ Display
- Push Button Start with Smart Key
- Rear Camera Display
- Bluetooth Wireless Technology
- Blind Spot Detection
- Ventilated / Heated Front Seats
- Panoramic Roof with Power Sun Shade
- Power lift gate
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (I have had too many flat tires in the past)
I will say for the price of around $37,000 this KIA has everything a family could need. For my family of five it was a perfect ride for us. I was amazed that I could fit one car seat for my 2 year old and two booster seats for my boys all in the 2nd row! Yes there were latches for super quick and easy car seat installation. Then there was the trunk, which size surprised me! My boys were sad to see to see it go at the end of the week and the only thing they missed is DVD players, but those could be easily added. The Panoramic Sunroof kept them busy and in awe. For me my favorite feature was probably the Ventilated Seats. Now honestly when I first heard about the feature I thought it was dumb. I have heated seats in my current car and rarely use them. The Ventilated Seat feature though was amazing and in the crazy Chicago heat it kept me so comfortable as I drove everywhere! The other feature that took me a little bit to get used to was not using an actual key but rather pushing a button to start the car! Once I got the hang of no key, I loved not having to dig the key out of my diaper bag but rather threw my diaper bag on the front passenger seat and pushed the button. So easy! The Navigation System took me a little bit to get used to but I have noticed that all Navigation Systems do things a little different and once I got the hang of it, I was good to go (literally!)

Buttons on steering wheel take care of everything!
Start the car with a push of a button, once I got used to this I absolutely loved it!
Button on door handle can lock/unlock the car as long as the key is in your pocket:
Oh and did I mention there is a plug in the backseat!

Overall, I loved the new KIA Sorento. The ride was smooth, the features were great and nothing too overboard and the price is affordable. It is a car for 4-5 people. Oh and it does come with a 10 year / 100,000 Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty (5 year / 60,000 Mile Limited Basic Warranty and Roadside Assistance ), which I think is pretty amazing! I could go on and on about the awesome features for this car but it is best experienced in person!

I LOVE that button on the door. I HATE when I get to the car and have my hands full and have to dig for me keys, especially in the rain!

I’ve been happy with the Kia’s I’ve driven. I haven’t found a navigation system installed in a car that I like yet. They are all quirky and not user friendly. It’s still weird to me to have a push button start on a car 🙂
