    Getting Crafty With text-UR Foam {Review}

    My kids love crafts, but I admit I am not a mom who has a whole drawer of craft supplies or ideas ready to go.  I need help and so I am always looking for kids with ideas and all the pieces required.  text-UR Foam from Fibre-Craft is a new craft item to the market that brings craft foam and 3D elements together.  The best part of the new kits is that they are affordable, starting at just $2.99!

    text-UR Foam includes pieces of foam that is in a variety of colors, textures and like I mentioned 3D effects.  Most of the kits contain 3D space-urs which are peel and stick stackable squares to create a fabulous 3D creations.  No more eyes or other pieces lying flat on your creations, kids can now make their projects really pop!  The text-UR Foam sheets comes in six bright colors and fun textures like Wavy, Scaly and Terry Cloth!  In addition to using their imagination, kids will be using concentration, dexterity and patience.

    The other day when my kids came home from school I had these new kits laying on the kitchen table.  Now normally after school they will hop on the computer or plop on the couch for television, but when they saw the crafts on the table they went right to the table!  All three of my kids played with text-UR Foam for 30 minutes straight and they probably would have played longer if friends haven’t come by.  I put the leftover pieces away for a rainy day and there is plenty leftover for lots more creations.

    You can buy text-UR Foam either in a package of sheets or kits.  What is great is the kits contain everything you need.  From magnets to 3D spacers to pre-cut pieces.  Then there is the sheets for extra foam pieces to either add to your kits or just create something from scratch.  My kids love the textures of the different pieces and laughed at how silly they were!  No scissors were required for the kits and my kids ages 2, 5, and 6 were able to do everything themselves!  The foam features peel and stick so there is no messy glue or tape required either.  The stickers are easily removed and changed too which we found out after my 2 year old took all the foam pieces off her brother’s creations!  Want ideas for projects?  On creativehands.com there are dozens of do-it-yourself foam projects with step-by-step directions.  With the affordable prices, fun varieties and convenience of picking up this kits at my local craft store, I really think text-UR Foam would make a great gift for any child!

      I love the owl and bird mobile. With halloween coming up, you could do a mobile of black bats/cats and jackolantern shapes

      I like the Activity Kit. My 2 nieces and I love to do crafts,well they do them and I just help. I love foam b/c there’s so many fun things that can be made. Thank you 🙂

      They are all really nice but the CHARACTER KITS would be nice for my daughter’s preschool class for her to make for them.
