    Every since my boys first discovered Angry Birds (I honestly have yet to play a game of it) they have been hooked.  Really though what kid wouldn’t want to fling a bird across the sky to knock over blocks and pigs?  Yep its crazy but honestly my kids do learn from it.  They have learned to focus on the game (it can be hard for them to sit still), to problem solve, to take turns, and to realize you can’t always win but have to keep trying.Well until recently Angry Birds were not really interactive.  Now though there are Angry Birds Star Wars Telepods which allow you to teleport your Angry Bird into the game with their special powers.  You do have to purchase the app on your own for $0.99, which I assumed the new toys came with a code or something.  I think you have to pay for the app though because you don’t need the Telepods to play the game, you can play it as a regular Angry Birds game.  The same goes for the Telepods, you don’t need an iPad or compatible device to play with the Telepods.  My son just loves to collect them and stack them up with the blocks to know stuff down.
    Telepods come either in sets or figures.  I received one of each to get my kids started.

    You can stack, launch and destroy the Death Star with the blocks, figures and launcher in the Death Star Trench Run set. Put your Luke Skywalker Bird figure in the X-Wing Starfighter launcher and pull it back on the ramp to launch it at the cannon turret on the blocks. Can you topple your exclusive TIE Fighter Pilot Pig figure? Destroy the Empire, then set the blocks up and destroy it again!  Ages 5 and up.

    So like I said, you can play with the new Star Wars Angry Birds Telepods on their own or you can interact with them on your device.  The little figures are adorable and perfect to collect while the playset is exactly that, a playset!  My boys have some other Angry Birds playsets that they just make big sets with all these pieces.

    Overall, my kids are obsessed with their new Telepods.  Normally I don’t like toys that that you add onto the iPad because it scares me that my boys will get too rough or scratch the screen but these are great for them.  They sit on the floor and just swipe their birds.  The teleport device sits on your device’s front-facing camera and doesn’t move.  Very simple to use and my boys had no problem doing it all by themselves!

      I used to be hooked on Angry Birds so I let my kids play and boy are they hooked too. I swear my kindle is community property because of Angry Birds.

      My son inlaw is now 36 years old and you would think when it comes to Star Wars he’s just a big kid! He loves anything related to this so my grandsons have been raised to as well, they LOVE anything Star Wars related.
