Disclosure: I am a Campbell’s Brand Ambassador, and have been compensated by Campbell Soup Company for my time. But, all thoughts and ideas are my own.
This Thanksgiving I am having 22 adults and 3 kids over. I have never cooked a holiday meal for that many people and honestly I am pretty much winging it. I mean that in the fact that so far I have barely cleaned my house and haven’t even grocery shopped yet, except for the turkey my dad picked up knowing I would slack on buying it! One thing for sure though I have planned is to have everyone go around and say something they are thankful for, and it cannot be family since we are hopefully all thankful for family! It is something so simple and easy but for whatever reason we have never done it. I am starting it now because my boys are starting to act spoiled and I want them to hear from others what they are thankful for and tell some of their own things they are thankful for. I am trying so hard to instill in them to be thankful, helpful, and not act like they are entitled to things when there are so many who go without. They are driving me crazy with “I want this” and “I want that” for Christmas and I have been explaining how so many would love to have even just a meal for the holidays, instead of toys.
So yes I have one thing planned for Thanksgiving, now back to menu planning. One item that will definitely be on my grocery list is Campbell’s soup. Not sure about the kind yet as it depends on which dishes I decide on making, but I tend to always use Campbell’s for something!
