Remember back in the day Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots? Well there is a new toy out there that takes those robots to the next level. Battroborgs are a hot new toy that combines motion controlled robots, wireless gaming technology and the chance to battle it out with your friends!
I got the chance to check out the Battroborg 3-in-1 Battle Arena with my boys (5 and 6 years old) and they have been hooked! You can either battle one-on-one or against a drove of Borgs in three different, competitive game modes. You do need to put batteries in each controller but then you can charge your Battroborg by connecting it right to the controller. We didn’t even read the instructions, we just put in batteries, charge it for 20 minutes and were ready to battle.
Like I mentioned earlier, the controllers allow for wireless gameplay. What that means is that you hold the controllers in each of your hands, similar to a Nintendo Wii controller and nunchuk, and you punch the air. Each of your movements makes your Battroborg move. My boys were amazed by how they worked! You can make your robots punch as well as move around the arena, oh and they don’t necessarily need to be in the arena either to play! Now of course my boys don’t have a technique, they just jam their hands all over, but you can perfect a technique for Left Hooks and Right Straights.
Overall, my boys love Battroborgs and honestly all our adult friends have wanted to take a jab at them too. Its addicting and the feature of the wireless gaming technology is amazing. Battroborg’s advanced radio control technology even also allows players to host a Battle Royal where up to 20 robots can battle at one time. Yes you get two robots with the set and then you can buy additional robots to add on! Now the price of $79.99 is steep but I have seen this set on sale everywhere and the technology is new for toys, at least I can’t think of a similar toy. Its unique and it literally is hard for kids (and adults) to pass up and not play!
Charge the robots direct from the controller:

Battroborg looks like a whole lot of FUN! It’s nostalgically reminiscent of Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots. But with its wireless control and multiple game modes it so much cooler.
