Disclosure: I am a Campbell’s Brand Ambassador, and have been compensated by Campbell Soup Company for my time. But, all thoughts and ideas are my own.
Did you know that January is National Soup Month? I had no idea, but with this cold, crazy weather I can definitely see why its fitting that its National Soup Month. We have had so many negative degree weather here in Chicago and soup is my family’s go-to-meal of choice. I honestly could eat soup anytime, yes even in 100 degree temperatures, but after being out in the cold or just to warm up, soup is just what the doctor ordered. I absolutely love that warm feeling down my throat where the soup feels like it is warming me down to my bones!
Another thing this January has going for it is it is the 80th birthday of Campbell’s® Condensed Chicken Noodle soup. You know that classic white and red can of chicken noodle goodness from Campbell, it has been comforting families for 80 years now!
Check out some more souptastic facts:

- Soup can be dated back to about 6000 B.C. and was first made of hippopotamus.
- Each can of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup contains 32 feet of noodles.
- Chicken Noodle is the top-selling soup for Campbell, with sales of more than 250 million cans (or 1.5 million miles of noodles) a year
- Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup was originally names “Chicken with Noodles” and then after a radio personality mistakenly read “Chicken Noodle” soup, Campbell started receiving large orders for their “new” product!
