This year I have narrowed my goals down to two main things: take better care of myself and purge my house. Both of those goals have lots of little goals within them but I figure its a start.
Ways I am trying to take care of myself:
- Lower my blood pressure. I always thought high blood pressure was something only “old” people got, but apparently young thirty-somethings can have it too. I am hoping that by cutting back on sodium, getting in better shape and trying out a new medication will help to lower it.
- Get in shape. Okay so really loose weight is probably a goal of most people out there and it has been mine pretty much every year as well, but this year I am going to do something about it. We have decided we are are having any more children, so no more excuse for me that if I am going to get pregnant again what is the point of loosing the weight! I also have diabetes in my family and I know I need to be careful! I am not an inside excercise kinda girl but I do enjoy walking and riding my bike with my kids, so I figure that is a start.
- Stay on top of my vision problems. I have worn glasses since I was 11 years old and I actually just started wearing contact lenses about four years ago. I am though 2-3 years past my last eye exam and I know I am overdue. I need new glasses too as mine are so old they don’t tighten well anymore and they have dirt caked in between the lenses! My contacts are fine but I was thinking of trying out the lenses where I could sleep in them. Its funny how I take care of my family’s doctors appointments but mine get pushed on the back burner. I am especially considering UNITY Digital Lenses as I love the benefits they offer!
- See more clearly
- More precise, more customization and better performance
- Thin and light weight – lenses don’t weigh down your frames so no more red marks on your nose.
- Reduce eyestrain and fatigue
- Sharpen contrast and reduce glare
- See some specialists. I have never seen a specialist for anything but there are a few things and questions I have for a few of them that my doctor was not very knowledgeable about.
Purging my house:
- As a review blogger you can imagine how much stuff comes in my house but not enough then goes out!
- I am holding on too way too many baby/kid items that need to be donated and passed on since we are done having kids.
- I need to get control of the papers situation in my house – from coupons to school work to bills, I am overflowed in my office with paperwork!
