I will be attending and experiencing these places as part of a media event in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Medieval Times is a show I have seen tons of times here in Illinois but I will say the show in Orlando is better. Well not the show exactly as it is exactly the same, but the exterior and extras inside are. The Orlando castle has a whole village to explore featuring actual artifacts! Building after building of amazing artifacts and seriously I could have spent all day browsing them! Cost? Free! Yes the Village is included with your Medieval Times ticket! We don’t have anything like that at our castle here in Illinois.
Never seen the show before? So when you arrive at Medieval Times you are given a color cheer for, that is the knight you want to win. The show features acts including a bird that is trained to fly around the arena, knight compeititons, knights fighting and even a princess!
Up above is the King and Princess who talk throughout the show about what the knights are doing. During the show you are served your meal and the meal is eaten with no utensils! Just like the old days. The food is a whole platfeul that includes bread, soup, chicken, spare rib, potato and dessert. I have never come close to finishing all the food, it is a lot. Oh and you do get two rounds of non-alcoholic beverages as well.
Honestly I think the show is something everyone should check out at least once. My kids actually love the show and would go all the time if we could. The winning knight is different each time (at least in my expiernce it is) and its hard to not get exctied throughout the show. The fighting, the horses, the cheering, its hard not to join in the fun. The price may seem a little high but keep in mind that it is for dinner and a show. It is the perfect way to take a break fun the sun as well in Orlando or celebrate something special.
