This is a sponsored post on behalf of Wendys® in exchange for sharing my honest opinion. How do you know your an adult?
Last month I celebrated my birthday and honestly I had to think about how old I was turning. I remember being excited to turn milestone ages and now that they have gone and past, I no longer think about them. Then there are things like the new Wendy’s® Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche that I get excited about that remind me I’m old. Why does that make me feel old? Because 1) I’m excited about a sandwich and 2) When did I start liking Brioche and Gouda?
Here are my Top 10 ways I know I’m an adult:
- Old Maid is no longer a card game that its acceptable that I play, now I’m expected to play adult card games like Bridge and Poker.
- My favorite coming of age movie is Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion. I remember watching that over and over with my BFF in highschool and us talking about how we’d go to our own high school reunion when we were older!
- I now like fancy cheeses like gouda and fancy bread like Brioche, so the Wendy’s® Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche is seriously my kind of sandwich.
- I am heading to bed at the time I used to go out partying!
- I act like my mom with things I say and do – “Don’t make me turn this car around!”
- I check prices and save my pennies, when I was young I was carefree and spent money like it didn’t matter
- I have bones that ache and crack, guess I shouldn’t have cracked my knuckles and back as much as I did when I was younger.
- I was excited for a new kitchen sink for my birthday, no jewelry for me or fancy clothes, I am all about housewares as presents.
- I drive a minivan and am proud of it, and yes I am officially a soccer mom now.
- I am planning for retirement!
Curious about the New Wendy’s® Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche?
It is a premium sandwich available for a limited time only that is packed with savory sophistication without the pricey cost. The new Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche is packed with flavor and includes:
- A thick, creamy Dijon aioli with a tangy mustard finish
- A smoked, mild and rich Gouda cheese
- A sweet caramelized onion sauce made from puréed caramelized onions
- A warm, lightly breaded chicken breast
- Sliced red onions
- Fresh spring mix
- …All served on a toasted Brioche bun.
Gouda is making its debut at Wendy’s® following up on other cheeses they have used including Asiago, Cheddar and Muenster. The Wendy’s® new Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche is a chicken sandwich for grown ups. Its not boring or bland, but rather distinctive and adventurous! I know as I get older I appreciate the finer things and don’t want to waste time on boring things. Don’t we all just want to get a taste of “The Gouda Life?”
FIND IT: The Wendy’s® new Smoked Gouda Chicken on Brioche is only available until the end of the month for a suggested price of $4.79.

I was about to type “LOL” but I didn’t really laugh out loud, although my spouse just looked over at me and said “You just smiled–twice!” This blog post was genuinely funny. Thanks for the smiles. And thanks for letting me know about this limited-time sandwich at Wendy’s, too; I think we’ll be having a fast-food meal there soon. 🙂

You are too funny! I know what you mean about some of those items on your list. We used to go out at 10 or 11pm and not think a thing about it. Not any more that’s for sure. This sandwich looks amazing! Wendy’s is my families favorite fast food restaurant.

This sandwich looks delicious! I need to try it. But I know what you are talking about. I go to bed now when I used to go out partying. I also like housewares for presents. I have aches and pains and use coupons and penny pinch. We have a lot in common!
