I have always loved word games and puzzles and Scrabble has always been one of my favorite games. One thing though that was a pain was keeping track of points in Scrabble. When there is a word on Triple Score or Double or both and its a long word, it can get complicated!
Well leave it to Scrabble to get an electronic scoring version to make it easier to play the game! It is the classic game everyone is used to but it incldes an electronic device to keep track of scores. No more little pencils and paper. The device keeps track of all four players scores and even tells you if you’ve beaten the highest word score for that game! I love the Timed Mode option which gives each player 60 seconds of gameplay so you don’t have to wait forever for your opponent or be the bad guy telling them to hurry up!
So how does the electronic scoring device work? First select 2-4 players. Then you spin the dial on the bottom to add or subtract points then press the Check button. Its super easy! The best part is that it will keep track of all the points for you. Yes you still have to add them on the board but the device will add them up for you. You can also pass each player or set the timer. I found it to be pretty simple and while I am a pen and paper kinda girl I like the option of the electric scoring for those times I don’t want to worry about adding.
Oh and I highly recommend having the The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary on hand for quick word checks. It now includes 5,000 new words including words such as fracking, hashtag and selfie! It features 100,000 playable 2-8 letter words that are acceptable under SCRABBLE. It is a great resource to even browse through for ideas before you start playing!
Don’t want to keep track electronically? You don’t have to! The points are still on the tiles so you can still grab a piece of paper and keep track!
