LALALOOPSY FANS WILL BE ABLE TO SEW THE LAST STITCH ON THEIR OWN
CUSTOM DOLL FOR THE 1ST TIME EVER
Build-A-Bear Workshop To Join Lalaloopsy’s Super Silly 5th Anniversary Party and Offer An Interactive Lalaloopsy Experience This Fall
MGA Entertainment, the world’s largest private toy company, has partnered with Build-A-Bear Workshop®, the interactive entertainment retailer of customized stuffed animals, to offer Lalaloopsy dolls in honor of the brand’s Super Silly 5th Anniversary Party. Starting in August, Lalaloopsy fans will be able to interact with the brand like never before by building four of the eight original Lalaloopsy characters (Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Jewel Sparkles, Peanut Big Top, Mittens Fluff ‘N’ Stuff) and personalize their creation with countless fun accessories in Build-A-Bear Workshop stores.
Lalaloopsy, the #1 large doll collector brand for girls, launched in 2010 with eight characters and now has nearly 100 distinctly different large dolls. Lalaloopsy were once rag dolls that magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn. But until now, fans have never been able to sew their own last stitch. That will change in 2015 when the brand celebrates its 5th birthday with the Super Silly Anniversary Party for fans, which will include various live entertainment and social media events, kicking off with the availability of products in all Build-A-Bear Workshop stores.
“We have received requests from fans all over the world who want to create their own Lalaloopsy dolls, and we are finally able to make this wish come true by partnering with Build-A-Bear Workshop,” said Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment. “Our astoundingly successful Lalaloopsy brand combined with their proven do-it-yourself formula is a guaranteed win-win situation for both companies and our customers.”
“We are so pleased to partner with MGAE to offer the first ever make-your-own plush versions of their adorable Lalaloopsy line. The personalized experience offered by Build-A-Bear Workshop during our heart ceremony uniquely positions us to complete the fantasy of the storyline for little girls by literally making the ‘final stitch’ that magically brings the characters to life.” said Sharon Price John, CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop.
