Disclosure: I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
I honestly never use paper plates or cups unless we are having a party. I try my hardest to recycle as much as I can and I know how wasteful paper products can be. When we have parties though, which is quite often, paper products are the only way to go. Well Repurpose has come out with an innovative line of green, single-serve products made exclusively from plants! Repurpose products are 100% compostable in an industrial composter.
Repurpose features cups, bowls, plates, forks, spoons and knives are BPA-free, chlorine-free, petroleum-free and only use soy-based inks. The products are made from corn, sugar and bamboo, all of which are annually-renewable resources. I got to try out the Repurpose line and found they are honestly better than I expected. Sometimes products that are made of recycled materials are flimsy or leak, but Repurpose has it down pat with their products.
Yeah for a line of sustainable tableware that I can actually use with my family and friends without guilt and without fearing for poor craftsmanship. Repurpose prodcuts are actually thicker and more durable than other paper products I have tried! My family didn’t believe they were made of renewable resources! Whether you need to serve up hot foods or cold foods, Repurpse products have you covered. They are heavy duty and built for whatever you need to serve up. Oh and they don’t mess with your foods either as far as flavors go, I know some materials leak into foods, but Repurpose is safe and free of chlorine.
As far as prices go, I did find Repurpose to cost a little more than traditional paper products but honestly they are worth it. From the durability to the environmental awesomeness, Repurpose is the way to go.
