I received the product below in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Living in Chicago you’d think I’d have a good pair of winter boots, but until recently I hadn’t. Sure I had a pair I used but they weren’t completely waterproof nor were they warm. I kept telling myself to buy a pair right at the beginning of the season but then time would fly and I would make work what I had.
This year though I was fortunate to get a pair of Kamik boots to get me through the crazy weather we’ve been having. Kamik is a company that believes footwear should be “Strong. Dependable. Resilient.” They have been creating footwear since 1898, yes 1898! Their shoes are meant for the outdoors so no matter the season the wearers feet stay safe, dry and comfortable.
I got the chance to check out the SEATTLE boots and I love them! They are multi-functional boots that are perfect no matter the occasion. They are perfect basically for everyday walking around or heading out in the snow.
Features of the SEATTLE Kamik boots:
- DriDefense waterproof bootie construction – if water gets in somehow these are the inside waterproof protection
- Foldable waterproof two-tone nylon upper – wear them tall or fold them down for shorter boots, both are waterproof
- Foam and fleece insulation
- Moisture wicking fleece lining
- Gillie Loop lacing system
- Removeable Comfort EVA insole with fleece lining
- Synthetic rubber outsole
- 13 inches tall and 1lb. each shoe
So what do I love about these boots?
First off they are so amazingly comfortable. I admit I have worn these with and without socks and they just keep my feet so snug and cozy. They are easy to put on and I love that I can choose how I am going to wear them, up or down. I do want to add too though that Kamik boots tend to run small, or at least they did on me. I had to get the next size up, especially since I will probably wear thick socks when I go out in the snow with these.
Overall, I am pleased with my new Kamik boots. These are the first pair of Kamik shoes I have owned and definitely won’t be the last. I haven’t had the chance to check them out in real weather yet but so far they have kept my feet warm and dry in the rain!
