This post is brought to you by Pepperidge Farm® Milano® cookies, but concerns my own opinion.
As a mom of three I am constantly on the go, or mom-chauffeuring as I like to call it. From packing their lunches and getting them off to school, then picking them up and driving them to their various activities – I feel like my only time to unwind is late at night when everyone is sleeping.
As my kids are getting older though I am finding that it is important to balance out some time for myself. It seems like forever ago that I was just a woman, then a wife and mom. I don’t want to loose my identity and end up not knowing who I am.
Ways I have found to take moments for myself:
I make time for date nights with my husband. We don’t get to do this often but being alone with my husband reminds me of the fun-me from college!
I have girls night out dinners as often as I can. My friends and I like to head to our local Mexican restaurant to unwind for a late dinner and drinks. Being out with my girlfriends remind me that I am a woman and not just a mom or wife.
I do mini-beauty treatments at home. Since I don’t have a lot of time to sit in salons, I treat myself at home with pedicures, face masks and hair treatments.
I buy treats for myself. It is amazing at how a few cookies in between the craziness of my day can help me unwind. I am not talking about boring ole’ cookies though, but rather fancy cookies that I want to indulge in.
Milano cookies are the perfect cookies to indulge in, especially now that they come in three new flavors – Salted Caramel, Mocha and Banana (Banana is only a limited edition for Spring).
Whether I am in a salty mood, sweet mood or chocolate mood –Milano cookies has me covered.

The only one that qualifies for our heart healthy diet is the Dark Chocolate Milano. I saw that banana chocolate the other day and wanted to try it. Have you tried it yet?

I can’t remember when the last time I went out with my husband. It’s been quite a few years. Maybe I will surprise him with a dinner for two one of these nights. I think that would be something we both would enjoy. And for dessert, the Milano Salted Caramel cookies sound wonderful.
