I am currently a member of the Netflix Stream Team and this post is part of my involvement in the Group in exchange for receiving a product package.
I admit as a parent there are so many topics that are tricky to deal with and ones I even dread having to talk to them about. From tackling peer pressure, sibling rivalry, self-confidence and more, there are so many issues parents need to be able to help guide their kids with. As a mom of three though I am all about getting all the help I can get.
Surprisingly Netflix is a great tool to kickstart conversations with kids on issues they may be facing. I honestly use television and movies all the time to show my kids how different issues are being handled. For example on one tv show they watched the superheroes decided to not work together and they ending up failing. I explained how if they just worked together in the begging they would have been done with their work and been able to have free time. I have always been a visual learner and I believe my kids are as well, which is why I think tv examples help them understand better than just my words. After the episodes I just casually bring up something like “Wasn’t it great how the kids worked together?” or “Wasn’t it nice how the one girl stood up for what she believed was right?”

Thank you for sharing this post. I’m going to share this info with my sister. Maybe a few of these movies will help her with her children, especially the movies about Sibling Rivalry and Following the Rules.
