    ABOUT:

    It’s lights, camera, action! Strawberry Shortcake and friends head off to Berrywood to visit Strawberry’s movie-star friend, Limelight. When they arrive, they’re shocked to see not everything is glitz and glamour. Strawberry must get her friends to come together and help Limelight realize that everyone can shine–because everyone is a star. Soon, Limelight’s movie is a berry big success. Next, it’s hooray for Berrywood! Strawberry and friends bring their Berrywood experience home and help re-open a local theater by pitching in and making a movie. But, trouble arises when Pie Man wants the theater for himself. After confronting Pie Man, Strawberry and the girls learn a valuable lesson–if there’s a problem, it’s best to talk about it. And, if they all work together as a team, they’re sure to make a berry good movie.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I loved Strawberry Shortcake as a kid and this is the first time I have seen the new “Strawberry Shortcake” so I was skeptical.  The animation is definitely more modern and the characters are dressed different, but the premise is the same.  This is also the newest Strawberry Shortcake, as there has been one or two other animation creations, and this is a little different.  Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are trying to do something and the Pie man is trying to ruin it!  This DVD is about Strawberry Shortcake producing a movie with her friends but Limelight turns into a very needy actress.  After some time to herself, Limelight realizes she was being mean and bossy so she goes after her friends to come back and they work together.  Next, the girls being fighting over mistakes that the Pie Man is doing, like slipping in wrong sized outfits which make the girls made at Strawberry.  In the end, the gang all comes together and they even bring in Pie Man and Sour Grapes into their act!  It is not the Peculiar Purple Pie Man that I remember but close enough, oh and he doesn’t seem as devious or sneaky.  “Berrywood Here We Come” is adorable and cute, my boys have watched it three times, and it was picked over Thomas the Train!

      My memories 0f Strawberry Shortcake are the matching tops and Capri pant sets my Mom bought me when I was about 6.Every girl in first grade was so jealous.

      I have many memories of Strawberry Shortcake, but my favorite is the smell of all of the dolls mixed together! My daughter would love this movie, she is a huge fan of SS!

      I remember that my sister had Strawberry Shortcake stuff when we were little. I was a older so I didn’t have any, but I loved her SS stuff. I’d love to win this to give this to my niece. I think my sister would enjoy this fond memories with her little girl.
