Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or plan to hire a professional, designing your dream bathroom is made possible using high-end bathroom fixtures from Maykke.
Creating a Theme
Relaxing day spa or garden retreat? Vintage elegance or modern luxury? Your choices for bathroom fixtures are near limitless and can be tied together using a combination of bathroom faucets, bathroom mirrors, freestanding bathtubs or clawfoot tubs, and of course, the bathroom sink. While on their own, clawfoot tubs and a modern bathroom vanity may make impressive centerpieces in your dream bathroom, however, together their styles may clash. Choosing a cohesive style and theme for your bathroom furniture will help to solidify your vision. One way to achieve this is to update the bathroom faucets in your sink and tub to updated, matching designs, and choosing new hardware for your cabinets and finishes to match.
Remove or Restore
Bathroom remodels can be costly, which may leave you having to make the decision to remove your current fixtures or restore them. While the thought of freestanding bathtubs may speak to your inner designer, you must also consider the cost of removing your old bathtub. If you have a built-in tub, you will also need to factor in the cost of repairing the walls and floor connected to that tub into your overall remodeling budget.
One way to breathe new life into old fixtures is to update your hardware. If removing your built-in tub isn’t an option, an exciting new faucet and updated backsplash can breathe life into a drab space and compete with even the most elegant freestanding bathtubs and clawfoot tubs. Likewise, if you’re going for a vintage, versus modern look, repainting and updating the hardware on your old vanity may tie into your theme more fluidly than installing a modern bathroom vanity.
Get Lit
Ever wonder why bathrooms in magazines and movies look so amazing? Many times they’re professionally lit. In addition to upgrading your current light fixtures, consider adding recessed lighting to the ceiling and LED bathroom mirror to illuminate your space. Keep in mind that different light bulbs cast a different shade of light. Experiment with incandescent, LED, and fluorescent lights to determine which lighting features best compliment your updated space.
Tie It Together
The devil is in the details when it comes to creating a cohesive design. Once the major elements of your bathroom remodel are complete, coordinate the look of your bathroom by choosing bathroom furniture and fixtures that compliment the overall look and color scheme of your dream bathroom. You can achieve this by picking a modern mirror to accompany your new modern bathroom vanity or adding shelving or artwork that incorporates your overall theme.

I guess I would go for a claw tub with LED Bathroom mirror. I would want warm floors
