Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Announced as Name for Star Wars Lands at Disney Parks
The immersive experiences at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts means guests will be able to enjoy when the lands when they open in 2019.
The lands, both called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will allow guests to visit a remote trading port on the edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life – and where guests will find themselves in the middle of the action.
Two major attractions will also put guests in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Each attraction – and even the land itself – will offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe like never before. One attraction will make you feel like you’re on a Star Destroyer inside a hangar bay. It’s an attraction built on a scale we’ve never done before. The second attraction will give guests the opportunity to fly the Millenium Falcon, piloting the ship, shooting blasters or preparing for hyperspace – all while completing a critical mission.
New Tron Attraction Coming to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort
Tron is currently the highest-rated in Shaghai Disneyland and it is coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 2021. The new attraction will sit in a new area next to Space Mountain. The TRON Lightcycle Power Run attraction in Shaghai Disneyland is a coaster-style attraction where riders board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles. It offers access into the energy, lights and excitement of TRON’s high-tech universe

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ & ‘Ratatouille’ Attractions Coming to Epcot
A “Guardians of the Galaxy” inspired attraction will be added to Future World and replace the current Universe of Energy attraction (which closes on August 13, 2017) in 2021.
A Disney Pixar’s “Ratatouille” inspired attraction will be added to the France Pavilion in World Showcase. It will allow guest to shrink to Remy’s size and scurry to safety in a dazzling chase across a kitchen with the sights, sounds and smells of Gusteau’s legendary Parisian restaurant! This attraction should open in 2021 as well.
First Mickey-Themed Ride-Through Attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Disney Hollywood Studios will be hosting this new attraction in place of The Great Movie Ride presented by Turner Class Movies at the Chinese Theatre. The “2 1/2 D” ride will feature a new story and fun singable attraction theme song. No 3D glasses will be required for this attraction thanks to new technologies that turn the flat world of cartoon shorts into “dimensional display of amazingness.”

Disney Planning Not One, Not Two, But Three New Cruise Ships
The new cruise ships will be completed 2021, 2022 and 2023, each with their own unique experiences. Clean-burning liquefied natural gas will power the ships and about 1,250 guest staterooms are planned.
Star Wars-Inspired Themed Resort at Walt Disney World
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, confirmed that a Star Wars-inspired resort will debut as part of the new Disney 360 vacation concept. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in the Star Wars world from dressing in proper attire to discovering a starship alive with characters, stories and adventures.

Disney Skyliner, New Minnie Vehicles to Transport Guests Around Walt Disney World Resort
In addition to buses, ferries, and the monorail, guests will be able to ride a gondola type ride to travel to various parks. Guests can even enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort. The transportation system will connect Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts and other locations with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot.

Oh and another mode of transportation coming are Minnie vehicles which will take you everywhere you want to go at the Walt Disney World Resort in Minnie style of course.

New Space Restaurant to Offer ‘Out-of-this-World’ Dining Experience
This new restaurant in Epcot will offer amazing meals with spectacular views high above Earth of course. It will be located adjacent to the park’s Mission: SPACE attraction and allows guests to travel into space for an amazing dining experience in the stars.

Toy Story Land
In 2018, Toy Story Land will open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests will be able to explore the world of Andy’s backyard with their favorite Toy Story characters. There will also be two new themed attractions.
Slinky Dog Dash will be a family coaster attraction where you’ll zip, dodge and dash around many turns and drops that Andy has created to really make Slinky and his coils stretch to his limits.
Alien Swirling Saucers will also be a new attraction at Toy Story Land. It’s designed as a toy play set that Andy got from Pizza Planet, inspired by the first “Toy Story” film. Aliens are flying around in their toy flying saucers and trying to capture your rocket toy vehicle with “The Claw.”

Limited-Time Pixar Fest Celebration Coming
Disneyland Resort in 2018 will feature favorite Pixar stories at Disney California Adventure Park with the new Pixar Pier right on the waterfront. Guests can walk through neighborhoods filled with friends from “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out” and even more of your pals from “Toy Story.” This permanent addition to the park will open during a new limited-time celebration taking place throughout the Disneyland Resort in 2018 — Pixar Fest!

Star War’s themes will never grow old! Disney has fun places and things for all ages! This could be an adventure in the making for these senior citizens ?? ??
