I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
I have always been the mom who lets her kids play with the messy toys. You know like clay, paint and glue. I’ve actually had the neighbor kids come over to play at my house because they were not allowed to play with those things at their houses. I have always figured that kids will be kids and they need to learn to express themselves, and of course clean up themselves!
Painting is something though that has always made me a little nervous inside the house. It is not the actual painting as much as it is letting the masterpiece to dry. My kids always use too much paint and the paint just pools on their creations, never drying.
Luckily there is an amazing product line called Kwik Stix which allow kids to paint without the worry of a mess. Kwik Stix are solid tempera paint sticks that are available in a variety of colors.
- AP Certified (non-toxic)
- Gluten, Egg and Peanut Free – yeah for kids with allergies being able to use them
- No paintbrushes, cups of water or smocks are required
- Dries in 90 seconds
- Work on many surfaces besides paper, including wood, canvas, posters, cardboard, and aluminum. Perfect for school projects as well!
How did we like Kwik Stix?
I honestly cannot believe I have never heard of these before. They are so simple to use and the colors come out just like paint wood. I’ve never seen anything like it before! The stix work like a twist up glue stick. Kids only use as much as they need then they cap it off for next time. The paint dries pretty much immediately, no waiting to show off creations!
My kids had a blast with their Kwik Stix and have used them pretty much non-stop since we received. I love that I don’t have to drag out the “paint bucket” with all their paints, brushes and smocks. I love too that we can take these with on-the-go. We spend a lot of time at hockey rinks and my daughter can now bring her paper and Kwik Stix with to color.
The only thing you can really do with this is paint thin lines easily as the tops are rounded and fat – kinda like a used lipstick. Actually, I colored with them and that is exactly what it felt like – smooth and rich in color.
