Destiny 2
Released: September 6, 2017
Studio: Ubisoft
Systems: Xbox One, PS4, PC
From the makers of the acclaimed hit game Destiny, comes the much-anticipated sequel. An action shooter that takes you on an epic journey across the solar system.
Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.
I got this game for my husband and I to play, then to decide if my 10-year-old is old enough for this Teen-rated game. We never played the original Destiny game and honestly didn’t feel it hurt us not playing the first game.
Destiny 2 is an action game where you have missions to complete. This is our first shooter game where there are actual missions to complete so I can’t compare it to anything. I feel too like I couldn’t give this game the justice it deserves because I haven’t been able to play enough of it.
The characters and animation is pretty amazing to me and I like that there is a story to go along with it. I like that the game is all about exploring and working as a team to fight the bad guys. Sorry, I don’t have all the technical words either as I’m new to this type of genre and I know hardcore gamers would laugh at my attempt to explain. Which on that note, there were parts of this game that made me laugh.
Let me say that I like the game as a break from reality. I was able to escape in the game, shoot some things and be done.
BUY IT: You can buy Destiny 2 for most video game consoles on Amazon or wherever games are sold.
