Did you know
We used to live in a very Irish-proud neighborhood that had a huge St. Patrick’s Day parade. It was such a fun parade for both us and our kids!
Oh and honestly it is not St. Patrick’s Day without a shamrock shake (or five) from McDonald’s.
March is the time to celebrate the life of St. Patrick, he is the patron saint of Ireland who helped introduce Ireland to Christianity. There is actually a whole history behind how St. Patrick’s Day came about.

My husband will eat the cabbage and other veggies, but not the corned beef, so I have cut down the size of the piece of meat I make and have to make him some sausage or something else. It was always more fun when my girls were here to share the meal!

When we lived in Dublin we would always go to the big parade. It is SPECTACULAR, and I very enthusiastically recommend it if you will be in Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day! Now that we live in the States, we usually look for a local parade/celebration to check out. They tend to be small, but we usually have a good time anyway.
