Just in time for summer vacation, National Geographic Kids is releasing a very special 10th-anniversary edition of its New York Times best-selling almanac for kids: National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020. It is a perfect book to entertain curious kids while they are looking for something to do this summer.
The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020 contains:
- Activities such as jokes, quizzes and comics
- Resources including homework help and fast facts and maps of every country
- Sections on pop culture, cool technology, extreme exploration and more
- Favorites like the “Cutest Animals of 2020!”
What I love about the National Geographic Kids Almanac is that it inspires my kids to want to know more about everything. It is a taste of knowledge on so many topics from animals to countries to people.
The National Geographic Kids Almanac is designed to inspire young readers to be the change they want to see in the world around them, encouraging them to become more involved environmentally, socially and in other ways.
Learn about the adventures of real-life National Geographic explorers:Christine Chen, geologist and climate scientist
Elizabeth Kapu’uwailani Lindsay, anthropologist and filmmaker
Guillermo de Anda, underwater archaeologist
Enric Sala, marine ecologist
Katey Walter Anthony, aquatic ecosystem ecologist
Kakani Katija, bioengineer
Krithi Karanth, conservation scientist
Barrington Irving, pilot
Brian Skerry, underwater photographerIn this year’s edition, National Geographic Kids launches the 20/20 Visionary Challenge, asking readers to imagine the world 10 years from now and to picture a positive change, invention or discovery they’d like to see become reality, in whatever area interests them: animals, people, places, science, technology or beyond — the sky’s the limit! Kids will be able to read some of their great ideas in next year’s Almanac 2021.

My daughter’s favorite summer activity is playing in the pool. We’re an actively serving family so we move A LOT, we don’t always have a pool, but we have found ways to get her that water fix she needs! Sometimes it’s an inflatable pool, sometimes it’s just a water sprinkler, whatever it is, she’s is our little Mermaid!
