I read this in an old copy of Women’s World magazine:
Surveys show coupon clippers save an average of $678 a year off their groceries. GroceryCouponGuide.Com says you can save $5000 by following some of these tips:
Swapping Discounts: Trade coupons you won’t need with others or use a coupon-swap if your supermarket has this box. It is usually located by customer service.
Read the coupon carefully: If the coupon does not say it is NOT valid on trial sizes then by all means look for a trial size and you may be able to get it for free!!!
Double Up: Either use your coupon when it allows coupon doubling or pair the coupon with a coupon from the store. On the top of my head, I know you can use Walgreens Easy Saver coupons with manufacturer coupons. I think you can use CVS coupons with manufacturer coupons also.
Ignore Expiration dates: Most stores have a grace period of expired coupons and some accept them regardless.
Clip the first Sundays coupons: Manufacturers typically launch new products at the beginning of the month, so that is when they release the most coupons.
