I received products in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Did you know that September is National Safety Month? I love that there is a whole month dedicated to safety as it is a great reminder for everyone of all ages. Whether you have a baby, toddler, tween or teen, safety needs change as kids grow. While I may not need outlet covers anymore now I need Internet blockers. I also have a young niece and nephew so far and want to be on top of safety trends for when they visit.
Dreambaby®, an internationally renowned child safety brand known for its affordable and high-quality safety solutions for infants and toddlers has compiled a list of their top five safety products for September Safety Month.
Here are 5 Must-Have Safety Items From Dreambaby:
- Breezz-Guard Keyless Window Restrictor – helps prevent children from opening the window beyond a safe distance of four inches, reducing the risks of falls. This latch is great for windows all throughout your home -aluminum, wood, or plastic frames and is suitable for sliding, sash, and outward/inward opening windows accommodating most homes. The Breezz-Guard® allows you to open the window and enjoy the weather while knowing your family is safer.
- Newport Adapta Gate – is a diverse, three-paneled gate, easy to configure and perfect for awkward spaces around the home. The gate also comes with the Smart Stay-Open feature, which allows the gate to ‘stay open’ whenever it’s not needed and swings open in both directions, but you can limit it to open in only one direction. This feature is especially important when used at the top of stairs. Hinged panels can accommodate openings of 33.5” – 79” across. Gate measures 29” high. Available in white, black, and brown.
- Outlet Plugs – helps keep your children safe from electric shock. Simply place the Outlet Plugs into all unused power outlets to prevent curious kids from inserting foreign objects into the source of dangerous electrical currents.
- Safety Catches – are a durable, easy to install childproofing solution that keep little fingers safe from harm by firmly securing most household cupboards and drawers.
- EZY-Check® Multi-Purpose Latches – versatile latch which can be used in any room of the house. It requires no tools to install and can be applied onto most surfaces to prevent children from opening cupboards, cabinets, refrigerators and much more.
What was/is a baby safety item that is your must-have?
Carolyn Ziegler, Co-founder and Product Development Director of Dreambaby®, has 7 safety tips for September Safety month she shared that I thought were great to share:
1) Safety proofing is not a replacement for adult supervision
2) Get down on all fours and see the world from the point of view of a crawling child
3) Make safety lessons fun
4) Furniture tip overs are an accident waiting to happen
5) Give yourself a breath of fresh air, safely
6) Some doors are meant to stay closed
7) Clutter is actually a safety hazard
