Children will also enjoy host Driver Perkins, who can ONLY be seen on DVD, and engages children with interactive dialogue and extra fun!

    Teaching timeless life lessons such as discovery, friendship and cooperation, the Thomas & Friends animated series invites children to enter a world of imagination through the tracks of a train and the words of a story.  Whether gathering for Knapford Station’s light display or the Town Square’s Snowman Party, retrieving scattered decorations or the delivery of a very special Christmas Tree-creating box, Thomas and his railway pals will warm your heart!

    Next stop, Winter Wonderland!  Join Thomas and his friends as they celebrate the holidays in these four enchanting tales. Thomas has a special delivery for the season – the Star of Knapford, a festive light that makes wishes come true!  The children are excited for the Snowman Party in the Town Square but it’s up to Thomas to find the snowman a special hat before the party can begin. Watch Bash, Dash and Ferdinand prepare for the first ever Misty Island Christmas party. Then Henry helps Sir Topham Hatt prepare a secret holiday surprise for all of Sodor.  The more friends the merrier, so join the fun and see that winter wishes do come true with Thomas & Friends!

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I think this is the perfect DVD to get kids, whether Thomas fans or not, into the Christmas mood.  It features Santa, snowmen, Christmas lights and trees, snow, and more!  The DVD is broken down into four episodes, all with Christmas themes, and are great to watch separately or all in a row.  My sons were super excited to see Bash and Dash which they first met in the DVD Misty Island Rescue. This DVD is also narrated more than the trains talk, which I know some people prefer. I love though the lessons my kids learn from Thomas & Friends like working together, making friends, doing your work, and more.  Overall, this really is a cute DVD for any child, but of course especially for kids that love trains or Thomas!

      I think what gets us in the holiday mood is when all the Christams light come up & we drive around to see them. Of course, the cool winter air, the smell of fireplaces …& the exictment of good food, family & gift surely gets us in the mood.

      It doesn’t have to take very much for us to get into the holiday spirit because we love the season. It is a time for family and friends and that is what life is all about. I love getting my lights on the house outside before the cold weather hits Michigan and sometimes that is in October and then it’s right on to shopping!!!

      To put MY family into the Christmas mood I started a new tradition of the Advent Calendar; the kids LOVE IT! The “SURPRISES” are often ordinary, but the anticipation of each morning is SO MUCH FUN! I couple that with my mother’s favorite Christmas CD, which reminds ME of MY childhood. And now, it will forevermore remind my children of THEIR childhood! It really brings generations together.

      I do my Spring cleaning in the beginning of November. I know weird huh, but I start taking stuff down that’s non-holiday stuff, and cleaning, polishing, and putting away. While I’m doing this I watch Christmas movies. I HAVE THEM ALL! When the kids come over we sit, and watch them together & maybe do our Christmas lists & we go SHOPPING! Definitely gets us in the mood.

      What gets our family in the mood for the holidays, is thanksgiving night, and putting the christmas tree up! And of course, all the wonderful christmas movies that you watch after you eat all the stuff you bake, that you plan on giving as gifts, but wind up eating. love the holidays.
