{Holiday Gift Guide} Baby Genuis Vinko’s Dump Truck Review

Baby Genius is a company committed to producing “music-based products that are entertaining, educational and beneficial to the well being of babies and young children.” There have been research studies that links music with enhanced brain development as well as increased language, memory, coordination and social skills. The Baby Genius product line includes Toys, CDs, DVDs, Books, Personalized Products, and Gear. The toy line starts at ages 6+ months and goes to 2+ years old. All Baby Genius products feature music as the central core to the discovery and learning process.

MY THOUGHTS:

I was first introduced to Baby Genius by my neighbor through a DVD of theirs, and my boys instantly took to the characters. That was almost a year ago and now at ages 2.5 and almost 4 years old, they still ask to watch Baby Genius and they play with their Baby Genius toys! I first want to say that even though the company is called Baby Genius do not mistake it for boring, the DVDs, music and toys really are fun and engaging. The music is uplifting and positive, great for kids! As a parent I love that my boys are actually moving around when watching a Baby Genius DVD or when playing with their toys. The characters a re great role models for kids and even though I think they can be cheesy, my kids love them and that is what matters!

Since my youngest is in a truck phase, I was thrilled when I got the chance to check out Vinko’s Dump Truck. My son thinks it is a cool truck to begin with and then when he realized it was Vinko from the Baby Genius DVD we have, he was even more excited! The toy is very simple and nothing fancy, no batteries or special effects, but it allows for some great imaginative playtime. The blue bed lifts up and down and Vinko the bear can sit and drive the truck.

Vinko’s Dump Truck is the perfect size for little hands to get the job done. Classic preschool styling makes it easy to roll and push. With kid-powered dumping action, your child can help load and unload make believe rocks. Vinko comes complete with construction hard hat and yellow safety vest. With Vinko on the job, your child will have hours of pretend fun!
