I received a complimentary meal in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Did you know that the Melting Pot restaurant is celebrating its 50th anniversary? I cannot believe that they have been around that long but love how they change with the times. From new menu items to drinks, Melting Pot is constantly updating their menus and offering speciality items. I also love all the promotions they offer, including towards families. As a mom of three kids, going out to a nice meal can add up quickly so we usually save places for special occasions or eat out when there are promotions to take advantage of.
The newest offer from Melting Pot is all about gold and luxury! Their specialty cheese fondue is the award-winning Grand Cru®, sweet fontina, and traditional Swiss topped with candied bacon and aged cheddar. They also have the Golden Hour Cocktail with golden reposado tequila, amber honey, pineapple and sparkling ginger beer. Both are around only for a limited time in April and having tried them both I will say I will miss them next time we visit the Melting Pot.

Honestly, both limited-time items were amazing, not that I have ever had anything bad at the Melting Pot. The Golden Hour cocktail was a perfect blend of sweet and sparkling, which complemented our meal.

The Grand Cru® fondue was the perfect combination of rich cheesy flavor with the sweetness and crunch of candied bacon. I honestly feel like I ate my weight in cheese because I couldn’t stop eating it! The dippers you get with it are bread, carrots, apples and celery – trust me they are all amazing with the cheese. Even my teen who does not eat fruits or vegetables, loves these smothered in cheese fondue.

If you have never been to the Melting Pot, I highly recommend it as it is not just a dinner but a whole experience. You get all the ingredients and then get to cook your food at your own pace at the temperature you want it. There is even a QR code you can scan to put up a timer on your phone so you know how long to cook the various meats and seafood items, usually a minimum of two minutes each. While the food is cooking is the perfect time to enjoy the company of your date, friend or family members.
How does Melting Pot work?
First, you get your cheese fondue with dippers. This is my favorite course.

Next up is the oil which you can choose a plain broth or a flavor. We love Mojo which is citrus-based. Everyone gets their own colored fork so you know whose is whose!

While the oil is heating up, salads are brought out. I don’t know why but salad here just tastes so much better than at home!

After salad, the oil is ready and you are ready to dip your raw meats and seafood in the oil to start cooking it. Each person gets three fondue forks to cook three things at a time.

You also get a variety of vegetables to throw in your oil and a spoon to scoop them out. This is a great to eat in between while your meat is cooking! You can also ask for more!

The meats and seafood items you get vary and you can choose from a certain group or create-your-own by choosing three items.

Finally is my teen’s favorite and that is the chocolate fondue. This is ready right away as it doesn’t really need to cook, it just melts right away and you can dip it or spoon it on your items. You get a huge variety of dippers for this as well.

I should add too that since my family had five people we sat at a table with two burners for pots so this was especially nice because then you choose two different flavors of cheese, cooking broth and chocolate. There are smaller tables as well perfect for dates!

Honestly, we have been to Melting Pot for whole meals as well as a quick date night with just drinks and cheese fondue. It can be as short or as long as you want there and if you are having a craving you don’t have to wait for a special occasion!
