    The New Toy store has been around since 2001 and after opening a brick and mortar store in Chicago, they have expanded to online.  They feel customer service and high quality children’s toys are key elements in being successful.  Every toy they featured on their website is not only high-quality but also fun!  They feature select toys through awesome pictures, Toy Demo videos, and Kid Tested videos.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    With so many toys available on the market it can definitely be overwhelming to shop for them.  What is nice about The New Toy online store is that they feature select toys and include great pictures and videos.  It is not an overloaded website but rather it focuses only on a few popular toys with a link to purchase them directly.  It includes toys I have never heard of or seen before as well as a few that I am familiar with.

    Football Guys + Extra Guys


    Football Guys from Kaskey Kids is a perfect gift for anyone who likes football. The portable, high-quality sets are great for indoor, open-ended play either solo or with a few friends. Players can learn about running plays, types of offenses and defenses, and all of the basic rules of the game. Each set on The New Toy comes with 26 – 2” players, 1 referee, 2 goalposts, a 24”x 36” washable felt field, and a rugged container with attached lid and handle. ONLY ON THE NEW TOY: We’re including a complete THIRD TEAM with different uniforms and an ADDITIONAL REFEREE to keep things interesting for hours! The New Toy recommends Football Guys for ages 3+.

    I got the chance to check out the Football Guys + Extra Guys from Kaskey Kids and they are awesome.  First off they came just in time for football season so my boys can play with their Football Guys while daddy watches the Chicago Bears play.  My favorite feature though is the tough plastic container it comes in because not only does it make it easy to keep all the pieces together but it has a carrying handle to take it with you.  There are a total of 30 pieces including a realistic field, goalposts, referee, quarterbacks, running backs, receivers/d-backs, utility players and linemen.  These players are plastic pieces but are in the position of the corresponding player – it makes pretend play much easier with the players!  My boys are too young to understand the rules and really how to play with these but they have fun zooming them across the field and when they are ready this will be a great tool to teach them about the game.  Football Guys has also received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal for Best Toy Award.  The Extra Guys is an additional bag with 14 more playing pieces, they fit in the Football Guys box to keep everything together.

      My grandson would like the Lift Off Rocket. When he gets tired of it, he could give it to his grandma who is a Space Educator and could use it in her programs.
