Disclosure: I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
I have a very active 2 year old (I know surprised, right?) and she is not big into sitting in a stroller. I needed though a lightweight stroller for a cruise we were going on and for our future summer adventures so I turned to Kolcraft. What I love about Kolcraft is that they carry a little of everything as far as strollers go. Whether you need an Umbrella, Lightweight, Tandem or Jogging stroller, they have it and in fun styles to pick from.
I decided on the New Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller because right in its description it says “The Cloud Umbrella Stroller gives Mom standard stroller features in the form of a travel-friendly umbrella stroller.” I was sold when I read travel-friendly. I wanted a stroller that was durable for our constant go-go-go in the summer, being able to drag it for traveling and still have some features a bigger stroller would have like a canopy and basket.
Features of the Kolcraft Cloud:
- Extended sun canopy that comes down for extra coverage (perfect too for when kids fall asleep in the stroller)
- Cool-Climate roll-up can be rolled up to create a head rest and allow air to circulate through the mesh on the hot summer days (or down if its chilly)
- Storage basket underneath (not big but enough for a few little essentials)
- 3-point safety harness to keep baby secure
- Simple 1-step fold for easy folding down
- Foam padded handles for easy steering
- Shock-absorbing front swivel wheels with locks
- Parent cup holder that snaps on or off
So what did I think of the Kolcraft Cloud? It is honestly the perfect little stroller for kids up to 40 lbs. This stroller took a beating with us traveling on our cruise (its been to 3 countries already!) but still looks new! It is not a big fancy stroller with all the bells and whistles but yet it still is perfect as an everyday stroller. What do I absolutely love about this stroller? How slim it gets folded up. This was a must for us on the cruise since all five of us were crammed in one tiny room. At home I love that it takes up virtually no space in my trunk!
At a price point of less than $50, this stroller is totally worth it and I’d recommend it to any mom. When I think of how many cheap umbrella strollers I had with my first son, I could have bought a handful of these Cloud strollers! This is one umbrella stroller that I can see lasting (well at least until my daughter outgrows it then we will pass it on!) Oh and I want to add to that my husband felt it was really nice to push. He loves the foam padding on the handles and said it was a good height, so its dad-approved too. Like I said, this is not a fancy stroller but it is one that will do the job wherever you go. The basket underneath is very small, but I fit some small things so do plan on carrying a backpack or diaper bag.
And here is the stroller all folded up:
