Disclosure: I received this trip in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
For Day 5 of our Royal Caribbean Cruise we landed in Cozumel, Mexico. It was our last port of call and we were ready for some fun in Mexico!
This day we were doing some activities that my 3 year old was not going to be big enough for and our excursion was only going to last a few hours so we decided to put Olivia in kids club. She was excited to see her new friends she had made in kids club and she loved her teachers so she was fine with it.
I did though want to take a few pictures of all of us in Cozumel so we disembarked to take some pictures and then re-boarded to take her to Adventure Ocean club.
So what do in Cozumel, Mexico?
First we played Laser Tag in Mayan ruins (not real ones of course) and my kids had a blast (literally). It was in a theme park type setting in a place called Chankanaab Adventure Beach Park. The laser tag is just one thing you can do there along with swimming in the beach, other water sports, animal shows, zip lining and more. There is so much to do there!
Here is a picture of the beach there:
Our laser tag game didn’t last long and we hadn’t brought our bathing suits so we also paid an additional fee for zip lining. My boys were so excited as they hadn’t zip lined before!
After our Mexican adventures, we took a taxi back to the pier and did a little shopping before boarding the boat again. There are tons of shops and a few restaurants right on the pier there in Cozumel, so even if you didn’t choose an excursion you can just get off the bought and walk around. This is a nice feature as not every pier has a nice shopping and restaurant district.
Back on the boat we had more adventures to come. While I took a nap with my boys, my daughter and husband went and saw an ice show. Yes the ship has an ice rink and when its not open for free skate or being used for practices they have shows!
Finally it was dinner time and we of course had an amazing dinner waiting for us. Honestly I don’t think there was a night we didn’t order more than one appetizer, entree or dessert as there was so many delicious choices available.
So far for all my posts about our experience on Freedom of Seas I haven’t mentioned the shows. Each night there is a live entertainment show, different each night, featuring amazing acts. From comedy to acrobatics to dancing and singing, the shows were all amazing! I didn’t take pictures as you weren’t supposed to, but trust me when I saw the shows are amazing. Even my kids looked forward to shows each night. There are two showings of the shows each night, for us we went to the early show at 7 pm and then to our 8 pm dinner seating.

I so enjoy reading cruising posts/reviews because out of all my vacations I enjoyed a 7 night cruise with my two daughters more than I’ve enjoyed any vacation ever. I am so glad your family is having a great time and thanks for sharing.
