Okay so I am a magazine-aholic! If you notice I have a few posts that reference articles in magazines that I wanted to share. I subscribe to a few, have a few of those magazine subscriptions that you can get for free every now and then, and my grandma and mom save there magazines for me. You see I have a 21 month old who is the slowest eater in the world! I have to sit in the kitchen or else he won’t eat so when I am not doing dishes or getting bottles ready, I read magazines while I am waiting.
I read this in Woman’s World and thought everyone has clutter they want to get rid of. I have not checked them all out yet but they all sound great! So here goes:
- Shoes: You can donate old shoes with rubber soles to Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program, which they will then turn it into rubber play surfaces for needy kids all over the world. (And no it does not have to be Nikes!) Just log on to Letmeplay.com and see if there is a drop off location in your area.
- CellPhone: Donate your cell phone to someone in a developing nation and for every phone donated, the website helps save 75 feet of tropical rainforest. They will send you a free shipping label to so there is no cost to you.
- Computer: Donate your old computer to a family who can’t afford one.

Thank you for all these great ideas! I am definitely guilty of throwing away too much. With your tips, though, I can start giving away some of my excess stuff. Thanks!
