    Shrek The Musical CD Review & Giveaway- 3 Winners! (Ends 4/17)

    Okay so if you read my post here from March 24th then you read that Shrek The Musical CD came out. Now even if you have not seen the musical, which I haven’t, you can still appreciate this cd as long as you are a Shrek fan! The songs have the same humor and creativity as the movie.

    Now I have actually never owned a CD from a musical, nor have I ever really listened to one, but this Shrek CD has grown on me and it is just the right CD when I am looking for something different and fun. I am especially inpatient when it comes to commercials too (which it seems like every radio station puts them on at the same time) so I am constantly listening to CDs in my car.

    With the New York Times and USA Today giving the musical rave reviews, this highly anticipated Original Cast Recording was destined to be a big hit! The Shrek cast recordings includes 30 actors from the cast and 27 musicians in the orchestra. I don’t have a favorite song as it just depends on my mood and this CD covers everything! The lyrics and tones are unique and witty. Overall, the cd is fun and entertaining and makes me want to see the musical or even settle for the movie!

      My favorite song in the score has to be “I Know It’s Today” – I saw the cast perform this number on the Today show, and the clip on Amazon sounds terrific. I love the harmony between Sutton Foster and the two actresses who play the younger Fionas. Thanks for the giveaway!

      I loved this movie AND the musical! It’s genius! My favorite song is I Know It’s Today; Fiona’s character really comes alive and we see the darker side of her past and insight to her hopes. It’s just a great song! 🙂 [email protected]

      Don’t Let Me Go is my fave. Our daughter takes voice lessons in NYC, goes to see Broadway shows when she can afford to, and loves music.
