Okay so you may have noticed that I do write posts for Social Spark, more so as of lately. They pay well and I promise you that I do only choose post topics that are relevant to my readers or ones that I am myself interested in. I did not initially get into blogging to make money, but I figure with all the time I put into it, I would love to show something for it. By bringing in some income, I feel like I am contributing to my family. It drives me crazy that when I buy myself new clothes or lunch or whatever, that I am using money my husband made. I know that his money is mine since were married, but before my boys I was a workaholic! Then after my sons were born, I of course take the best care of them but I needed something for me.
I thought of getting a part time job but with my husband in graduate school and being pregnant again so quickly with my second child, I have just never had time. Blogging is something I can do whenever and wherever and since I have always been a computer addict, it suits me perfectly!
Please don’t take any offense or think I am only in this for the money, as I am not! Ads, sponsors, paid posts, and links are just a small benefit and even though they are not even close to making me a millionaire (they actually don’t even cover my Internet costs, but I would have Internet anyways), I couldn’t imagine live without my blog and all the others I have grown to love!
If you have a blog, what do you think? If you are not a blogger, does anything on my site bother you?

I do it for fun too but if some money comes with it… welcome! I don’t understand people that critizize people that monetize their blogs. Some might even debate that content has no quality. I have to differ. Not all people are the same and we should respect each others point of views. If you don’t like a blog that is monetized don’t read it… is as simple. If you love blogging and you get money for it… you are getting money to do what you love and that is the perfect job! 🙂 Good luck!

I would LOVE to know how to make money blogging. With 5 kids at home and being a SAHM, any extra income would be good. I say do what you want. 🙂

Oh sweetie. Kudos to you for doing what you do best. I wish I could do something like this too to make some extra money. I feel the same as you with my husband’s money. It’s so much easier to spend on the kids and grocery but not me.
I’ll try to do something like this as I gain confidence in blogging.
I love your blog.

Your blog is great! I really enjoy it and I appreciate that you do have posted which are sponsored links, that means a lot. I’m glad you posted this post as there have been a few articles recently down on bloggers making money and especially ‘mom’ bloggers so putting it up front is a great way to show who you are.
Keep up the great work! I’m really enjoying the blog!

Do you mind if I ask how much you make doing this? Times are really rough right now, and I’m considering doing this as well.

As a blogger so what if your making money blogging. Your doing what you like to do so don’t let anyone tell you differently. I am just starting out in the blogging world and have alot ot learn. I am sure my blog maybe jumpy as there is so much to want to blog about. But if your readers enjoy your blogging what should it matter. 🙂

I believe that we should just support each other as women and let each do their own thing. What right does anyone have to tell you or me or any other blogger how to run their blog?
Zeemaid says
Considering your site has reviews and giveaways etc.. I think people expect to see paid posting so I wouldn’t worry about it.
I worry myself because my blog was up until recently just a daily journal type of blog but recently bloging for money has become an easy way to try and earn some spending money. I don’t want my regular readers to be turned off.
