Since I have readers from other countries and that my readers travel to other countries, I figured I would mention about the International Student Identity Card – ISIC. It is a card that features 1,000s of discounts at many favorite retail stores, restaurants, and websites. You can also get discounts on travel via plane, train, and parking. Overall, the discounts are for home, abroad, online and in-store and the card only costs $22!
There are three different versions of the discount card available:
ISIC – For currently enrolled students
IYTC- For any youth 26 years old and younger
ITIC – For any current teacher or professor
The discounts for students cover basically everything you would need. Since I am going to be going to Las Vegas soon, I checked out the discounts there and there were some great ones. Some of the discounts were 15% off the House of Blues store, $10 off Madame Tussauds show, and $13 meal at Hard Rock Café. The $22 that the card costs would be paid for after just a few meals and shopping trips. Sometimes I wish I was still a student so I could take advantage of all the discounts, but then I remember how much school costs and students definitely deserve a discount.
You can visit the ISIC website to see which discount you would qualify for check out the discounts in the area that you will be traveling. You can actually then plan your trip around the discounts you receive.
