All of us moms struggle with bed times with our toddlers at some point or another, and Pamela Gonzalez was no different. After having her second child and moving her tot to a big boy bed, she struggled to keep him in his own bed all night. She believed her son’s problem was that he didn’t know what time it was. So through sleep deprivation she decided she needed to create a clock that would let her son know when it was time to wake up. After testing it out with her own children, Pamela decided to share her wonderful product with the world and called it “My Tot Clock.”
My Tot Clock is an all-on-one sleep aid, alarm clock, nightlight and timer for children ages 2 and up. By lighting up blue, it teaches your child to sleep and a yellow light signals for them to wake up, or should I say rather it shows that it is okay to get out of bed. I know the problem in our house now is that it is so sunny at 5:30 am that Aidan thinks its morning time. When he wakes up before his normal 7:30 am, he is screwed up for the day and in turn I am screwed up! My Tot Clock is slowly teaching him that blue means nighttime and yellow means morning, more importantly morning cartoons!
My Tot Clock also plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake music, and even white noise, like ocean sounds. This awesome clock also has a light blue light for nap time, a red light for timeout, and a green light for fun activities! I love that this clock is not only helping me and Aidan work out a routine, but also I can use it throughout the day. Oh and did I mention it also comes with an adorable faceplate featuring the moon and stars! You can buy different faceplates too if you want a change. I am in love though with how nice the color is when it lights up, not too bright or too dim. It will also play lullabies and after 30 minutes it will shut off or you can have white noise play all night if selected.
My Tot Clock is super easy to use and set up. It looks complicated but that is just because there are so many different settings to pick from. You can choose to have nursery stories read, music on/off, bright or dim, and set the volume. I am very impressed with this clock and love that it not only makes my life easier but also my kids. Aidan is not only learning, but also it comforts him at night and during naps. It also hopefully will make time outs easier too. I spoil Aidan and know I need to discipline him more with time outs, so I am going to try it out with this clock. I can set a period of however many minutes and push the red button and the clock face will turn red meaning time out.
With My Tot Clock you receive the Tot Clock, ac adapter, Welcome to Children’s Dreamland story cartridge, Night Sky faceplate, and instructions. It is not too heavy and has a handle so your child can carry it around, or you can stand it up on their nightstand for them to see. Since Aidan is still in a crib, I just put it in the crib with him.
