Cleaning is one of the things I hate the most, and I know I am not alone in this. The chemical smell, the worrying about if my kids touch or inhale it, and the cost of bottle after bottle really adds up. Well now there is a scientific way to clean your kitchen and be green. Activeion is a sprayer that utilizes science to free you from chemicals that has so far been used for decades in the food processing, industrial technology, and health-related industries.
So how does Activeion work? I know you are probably as skeptical as I was!
• Charge your Activeion sprayer (yes the charger is included)
• Fill the Activeion with tap water. No chemical add-ons!
• A water cell applies a slight electrical charge to the tap water (don’t worry it doesn’t shock you!)
• The water is then passed through an ion exchange membrane to create an oxygen-rich mixture of positive and negative nano-bubbles.
• The activated (charged) water now attracts dirt like a magnet and lifts it from the surface, enabling it to be easily wiped away.
So basically in English, regular tap water receives an electric shock which shocks the dirt on the surface of whatever you are cleaning and breaks it up. Since the dirt is suspended in the water solution it can be easily wiped away. I know it seems like it wouldn’t work, but it really does clean! Believe me when I say I laughed when I thought I was just spraying water onto my counter to clean it, but thanks to science it was a lot more than just regular old tap water that sprayed out of the Activeion.
The Activeion can be used to clean soils, stains, dirt, dust, oils and so much more. The following surfaces are perfect for Activeion (of course though, check a small section of your surface first):
• Counter tops
• Carpet spots
• Glass
• Stainless steel
• Wood floors/surfaces
• Floors
• Stone/marble/granite
• Bathrooms (tubs, showers, sinks)
• Plastic
• Laundry spotting
Now I used the Activeion all over my bathroom, granite counter tops, and glass windows, and I love the results. But my favorite use for the Activeion is cleaning the kitchen table and highchair since my kids are always at these two places and I hate the chemical residue usually left behind by cleaners. I mean with the Activeion there is no residue since you are just using water. Oh and of course the Activeion worked awesome with toys and I felt better than spraying them with Lysol to disinfect them.
When used as directed (and really all you do is add water and spray) the Activeion Pro removes more than 99.9% of the bacteria from non-porous hard surfaces. An actual independent third party certified lab test shows the Activeion Pro provides a clean and sanitary surface. The following organisms are reduced by 99.9% which the Activeion sprayer: e-coli, staph, MRSA, listeria, and salmonella. The tests were actually completed this year, so the data is fresh. You can actually see the lab results HERE from the Certified Lab used. It was quite interesting and amazing to read.
I was also amazed to find out that this technology to create water electrolysis has been around for more than 50 years. The problem in the past though was the water electrolysis created two streams of water – negative and positive – which could not be combined. But now the Activeion hand-held sprayer is the first time both streams have been combined to work together to produce a general purpose sprayer.
So of course there is a catch to this wonderful eco-friendly, water using, easy to use product, oh and did I mention that it is light and when recharged it should last an all day cleaning session. Well the catch is that this product costs $299 plus shipping. Yes I know it is a lot of money, especially upfront, but when you add up all the cleaning sprays and disinfecting sprays you buy in a year and add the health risks of inhaling all the chemical fumes, Activeion is definitely a product to check out. Other than the cost, the Activeion is also not a miracle worker so there were some stains I couldn’t get out and some gunk on my counters and tiled bathroom floors that I couldn’t get off.
Check out the Activeion on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and you can even watch a video featuring Emmy award-winning Bill Nye “The Science Guy” explain he science behind the Activeion. Oh and highly recommend following them on Twitter @activeion and becoming a Facebook fan because I have read some really interesting facts and tips there!

A few workers in our area got Salmonella poisoning. It is a good thing that they did not die and they have fully recovered. :
Granite Counter tops says
Wow, what a great product! I look forward to trying it. I also dislike cleaning and I worry about harmful chemicals in my home. I also have granite counter tops and I worry about the long term affect cleaning products have on the counter tops. Thanks for this post!
