Last year at a garage sale, my mom picked up a brand new hammock. I never really thought of it, but I realized I never really laid in one. It was awesome! I admit it was tough when my wild boys started crawling all over me, but when I was alone it was so peaceful. So I am considering adding one of the many designs of hammock chairs to my backyard experience. I can just see it now, my sons playing nicely on the porch while I swing on a relaxing chair soaking in the sun and peacefulness. Okay so I may not have complete peacefulness in my yard, unless my boys are napping, but I can at least try to enjoy the backyard too!
After some online searching I realized that there are more designs than a classic outdoor hammock that sits on an aluminum stand. There are also some hammocks that you can attach to a tree, your porch, or use on a durable hammock stand of course. The stands now even come in wood, stainless steel, or strong steel tubing so they have definitely come a long way from flimsy aluminum!
I wish our house had a huge wrap around front porch, but my backyard deck is not too shabby and something is better than nothing! After more research on hammocks I found that the original rope hammock was crafted in South Carolina. The pawleys island hammock is a cotton polyester rope and a true classic that requires no maintenance. Due to their reputation, I am really considering one because I know I would be getting a high-quality product that has been lulling people to sleep all over the world! They even offer double designs, in case I want to be nice and include my husband! Whatever I decide on, I have a lot to choose from!

My hubby has always wanted a hammock but now we would have to have one on a stand because he cut all the pines from our front yard and the oaks are making a shade but are not close enough together to tie a hammock
