    One of my favorite food indulgences is a sushi and hibachi restaurant.  First off I should say I am not a sushi eater, my husband is (I only eat California rolls which have crab meat), but I do love Teriyaki chicken!  Benihana is actually the leading Japanese-themed restaurant chain in the world, and a restaurant we frequent probably too much!  Now if you have never been to one before, you will be in for quite a surprise and even if you have, if you are like me, then it is still fun and entertaining.  At Benihana, you sit at a U-shaped table and right in front of you a chef cooks for you!  Throughout the meal the chef’s usually do tricks and get the diner’s excited, and I still get excited even though I have seen all the tricks!

    What I love most about Benihana though is that you don’t leave there hungry and you might even have leftovers perfect for lunch the next day!  There is also something for everyone as you can choose from steak, chicken, seafood, vegetables, or a combination.  I have tried a little of everything, and have yet to be disappointed!  I will say though that it can be expensive so we do try to only visit for special occasions.  Well now through the end of March, Benihana is offering excellent deals with a prices that are amazing and make a great excuse for a date night!  This would also be a great time to go if you haven’t tried Benihana before.

    Benihana’s March Chef’s Special:


    Hibachi Shrimp and Chicken for Two for $35

    • Served with Benihana onion soup, Benihana salad, hibachi shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables, homemade dipping sauces, steamed rice and Japanese hot green tea and Häagen-Dazs ice cream, sherbert or sorbet.

    Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Japanese-style with green drinks

    • Emerald Punch Bowl – inspired by the classic melon ball cocktail, the 60-ounce punch bowl includes Midori Melon Liqueur, SKYY Pineapple Vodka and pineapple juice – enough for two or more guests to share.
    • Kiwi Crush – a light and refreshing martini featuring fresh muddled kiwi fruit, Ketel One Citroen Vodka, St-Germain and a touch of green tea syrup.
    • Green Tea Colada – a delicious Japanese twist on the pina colada with a frozen blend of Malibu Rum, ZEN Green Tea Liqueur, pineapple and coconut.

      The March Chef’s special featuring Hibachi Shrimp and Chicken for Two would be all the farther we would get on the menu. Apart from that, I would make it a point to try some Benihana Hot Sake. 🙂

      OMG, I would so love to win this. My dauther’s 12th birthday is on March 31st, and right now she is VERY into Japan (not sure why though). I have been telling her that we will take her to Benihana on her birthday! She loves shrimp too so the Shrimp and Chicken would be right up her alley!

      I already LOVE the Benihana punch, so the Emerald Punch Bowl is right up my alley! I love everything on Benihana’s menu though, who wouldn’t? The Chef’s Special for $35 is a GREAT deal!
