Prosilk Gold Flat Iron Review

On a day when I am just sitting at home with the kids, I let me hair air dry and be natural.  Natural for me, means wavy, curly, and thick.  My mom always says how grateful I should be for my nice, thick head of hair, but I hate it natural.  I dye it, highlight it, blowdry it, and straighten it.

Now I am by no means a fashionista, or do I even really try with my hair, but just straightening it makes me feel better.  I just look less crazy and frazzled, and I feel more confident.  I do have a time constraint though as I have to take my 3 year old to preschool and then I usually run errand or come home and do housework until I have to pick him up, and somewhere in the rest of the day I have to find time to play with my boys and blog, oh and squeeze husband time in too.  So basically I am saying I need products that are quick, yet effective because I don’t have time to redo my hair.

MY REVIEW:

I don’t know if I should classify my hair as curly or wavy, as it is actually a combination of both.  It is never consistently with curls, as one side usually has some nice curls, but the other side has loose waves.  Yes my hair is funky.  So like I said I need a product that heats up quickly and does the job the first time as I have about twenty minutes (on a good day) to shower, get dressed, apply makeup and fix my hair.

I plugged in this Flat Iron and by the time I put lotion on my face, it was heated up!  Now of course it gets hotter the longer you have it on, but in seven seconds like it says, it is hot enough to use.  I started straightening my hair right away and could not believe how easy it was.  The Prosilk Gold Flat Iron is so light, but strong and the velvet on the handles made it nice to hold.  I love that I can now do my hair faster and it looks fabulous!  Oh and the outside of the flat iron is not hot to touch either, which I like because if I pick it up wrong, I won’t burn myself!
